I used to play 1st base at very high level comparatively and like how he treated that throw, was a very low probability of a true hop for the pick , well played love Harper's play at 1st base , knowing he was a Catcher make him perfect for the position , many a bad hop he will take off his chest at 100mph in upcoming games

I don't know if Trea's play was good, it was a throw in the dirt after all, but I agree, that was more of a "goddamn we just avoided a situation" look than anything else.

That was the technique of a man whose life depended on catching that ball. If his glove didn't catch it, his chest would have. Excited to see what happens this post season

He's kind of a baby tho
So I only recently got into baseball and my husband is a baseball lover so I’ve gotten more and more involved. I was always a red Sox fan by heart and nature and this was the first ever video I ever saw of Bryce. Paid attention to him ever since and turns out my husband had a classic Harper jersey and a bunch of collectors of cards which are now all mine 😂
Bryce's reaction to trea is hilarious ❤😂
Just like that, a meme is born😂😂
Bryce makes a great a good teammate 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂
BRYCE IS THE BEST
They’ve known each other for years. They were teammates together in Washington.
Treys bat was on point last night but he was picking flowers in the field last night 😂
Love this team. They’re family in the clubhouse.
Gotta make sure he’s on point 😂
Played 1B - it is incredibly difficult. The only upside is with bad throws if you pick them you're the hero and if you don't the other guy is at fault 😅
Hell of a play! Wonder if he’s ever played catcher?
That game was crazy last night! Go Phillies!
Bryce’s face gotta be a shirt😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You gotta be kidding me man next time throw it or just bounce the ball towards my glove 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hes like “Mess this up and I’m stepping out right now…” 🤣
gave him that Family Guy Bug Eye look
Trea did a kyle schwarber moment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He is killing it at first base! Bryce is good everywhere
Tied Bryce up like a pretzel 🥨 he hung with it tho 😅
Good for you Bryce, I wish I'd see more faces like that and more joking around and of course you do. It's too bad that the media always focuses on the bad days you may be having. It Ticks me off every time I hear something negative about you when we are all just human! And I'm not saying this because I'm a Philadelphia Phillies fan because I'm not Boston Red Sox all the way. We all have our share of bad days. But my brother is a Phillies fan and the bosox did not make the playoffs this year so I guess I'll join my brother and Cheer for the Phillies!
fielding a throw to first like you would at shortstop is often a good bet
Bryce Harper pickin machineeeee
Bryce turned catcher mode on
Bryce was like dude, we almost fucked that up so bad😳
That’s the same face I make when there’s a ball that I have to pick that’s coming straight at me
That boy Bryce jus a baller he had it all the way but he had to let his dawg know it that was tough 💯🤣🤙
That’s a backhand catch Bryce
He caught that basically with his bare hand
Lets go Phillies Harper was sooo mad
blud is a good 1b and he never played it before. GO PHILS
As a former first baseman, shortstops gave me hell
Oh like hes perfect
Turn the glove over. Bryce caught the ball like a T-Baller. 🤣
Loved it when they both played for my Nats,
I love this guy~~
Pete Rose, at first base. catching Bob Boone's muffed pop foul in the next to last out in Game Six of the 1980 World Series was awesome.
Bryce is starting to look more and more like John Kruk the longer he stays at first base. 😂
Trea RULES!!!
“What’s your biggest fear?” Hattenburg: “That the ball be hit in my general direction.”
The necklace!!
That’s not trea’s fault. Bryce is an inexperienced right handed 1st baseman. Any experienced lefty first baseman would stretch & scoop the throw. Not field it like it’s a ground ball in the outfield.

speaking as a right handed first baseman, we can also stretch in that direction. The only advantage a left hander really gives is in pick off attempts.

I miss playing the game. So much fun
The white leprechaun ☘️ lol
trae cares more about looking smooth and cool than making good plays
Lol why kind of scoop is that? 😂😂 give you the bronze glove😂😂😂
Turner, Harper and a few of their pitchers are way over the top! If they can calm down and normalize their game next year, they might could finally get to the WS playoffs.
That was a good save, considering it would have been a way easier scoop with a backhand there. He's still learnin the ropes at first though, so I'll forgive him. Those medium hop scoops are the hardest ones 😬
A deer in the headlights 😂
He ahouldve gone to the backhand there but he got it.
That’s the look when you have a 100 million contract

As a lifelong phillies fan and 1B all I can say is, backhand and block with your thigh. That was 1B week one of college ball
Trea turner has hit for 3 cycles in his career. Tied for most all time.
The Phillies sure are dancing alone in the corner while the Dbacks kiss the pennant let’s goooo
