Watching the whole journey through Baja with you and your team was so perfectly documented and put together with jaw dropping speed I'm in awe. You got a solid group of people around you and you keep up this momentum you'll have multiple Baja 1000's before 2030. 2031 is when the hover trophy trucks come out.

My guess would be a lean cylinder. Fried the rings or piston.

I've been watching trophy truck footage, with a snowboard instructors eye. The truck is more like a four legged creature, than a person on a snowboard obviously. What is worth watching is the "knees" of the truck...When are they most flexed/extended in relation to the terrain? How does the throttle affect the front/rear knees? The motion of the suspension is beautiful, which means the steering system/gear can work that much better. I'm glad to see ford winning at Baja, I just wish the Toyotas had more support for the nascar and/or nascar truck series, since that's where the marketing money seems to be targeting. (Id rather see toyota win at baja though) Toyota seems to want to expand brand recognition in a region that doesn't really work for their model though. Nobody east of the Mississippi, is looking for more than 150k miles out of their truck. It's just not that plausible, based on road conditions. Not sure the Toyota life span will ever catch on out there, but they will still always be the best "truck" for the west. I'm still waiting for a Toyota equivalent, to the Subaru lineup...the camry, corrolla, and matrix don't really cut the mustard. I'm also waiting for subaru to make something worth capitalizing their name again. Until something changes, in the new machines marketplace, my picks are still the mid 90s Toyota trucks (tacoma/tundra/t100) for any sort of recreation in the west. If you make money with your diesel, right on, but they're a different class of consumer truck.(That's the tow company owner's eye.) If you can get it done with a Subaru, do that.(Towing company owner's eyes on that too. Our 2001 Subaru Outback made more money than either of our tow trucks, no matter how we looked at it.) I'd be happy to elaborate if there's any interest. Best of luck to all with their vehicular endeavors though :)

The truck has 30" in rear and 25" in the front for suspension travel. Unfortunately there is no support from manufactures in our sport right now. Everyone just uses "custom truck" bodies. I made mine resemble the Ford.

Nice! Is it possible to get some cams strapped to vehicle to get a front and rear view? That would be B@D@$$

Car sounds better than the soundtrack though.

That’s a bummer because you guys had that bagged easy, but as you said… if it was easy…. My guess is they had a cylinder(s) too lean, probably fried a ring or piston.

Damn, sucks so bad. Heartbreaking. You guys were on pace. Baja Gods are cruel!
