Best Eagles breakdowns on KZread right now. I actually get to watch something of substance rather than listening to people who just speculate without reasoning (90% of Eagles media). I notice you brought up Huff going against weaker right tackles, then a few minutes later you bring up a few occasions of him beating elite tackles. But is it really a knock against a player for lining up against weaker competition? Isn't it game planned to create some mismatches in certain cases?

Agreed, the content on this channel should be at the top for all Birds fans. Other KZreadrs just make claims based on nothing and are mostly all boring with zero knowledge of the game itself. Keep it up Philly Film Room!

I think Eric's point was more of a cautionary argument that his elite metrics might be overstated a tad based on who he went against. Definitely not Bryce's fault who he rushed against and assuming the edge rusher is comfortable rushing against RTs, I think you should be trying to match up your best edge rusher against their weaker tackle (we discuss this a little on the long pod). Personally, I saw enough reps of him beating elite talent that it wasn't a major concern for me (and it really isn't that big of a concern for Eric as well). Thanks for the kind words

Super excited for Bryce Huff! love to see undrafted guys succeed I think he could still be getting better. How much was he lining up in 5 vs 4 man fronts? Does that have an impact for defensive edge players in the same way? do you expect to see any T/E stunts in the Fangio scheme? Do you think would Huff find success in a role like that?

Same career arc as Shaq Barrett (UDFA). The Jets were primarily 4 down fronts. I don't think it makes much of a difference. What matters more I think is how close/wide the player is aligned to the end man on the LOS based on their play strengths. He was aligned wider (Wide 9, 7 techniques) a lot to take advantage of his burst. He'll get more looks like that here too, we talked about it more on the long pod we're gonna release later. Also yes, Fangio ran a good amount of TE stunts with Chubb. More on that later.

Really like the video. Looking forward to check you out more. It's nice to hear some break down and news or quotes that aren't in the main stream and that most the KZreadrs just repeat and put their own emotions/twist to

Think people underestimate how solid reddick was in the run game to to along with his sack numbers...i might be a littoe bias cause Reddick is my favorite player but i don't think he hurt us in rhe run where Huff may... Seth Joyner did a breakdown of Reddick in the run game cause everyone said the same thing how he wasn't any good but from watching tape and trusting what Seth has to say i think Reddick got a bad rep as far as beein a liability in the run game

Reddick definitely wasn't a liability in the run game. He got into the backfield to create negative plays a lot (a few gambles that hurt the team). And for his size he did well to hold his ground consistently and set the edge, but being undersized he had a harder time getting off blocks and making plays as consistently as the better run defenders. He wasn't hurting the team, but his biggest contributions came in the pass game. I'd be happy if we got similar results from Huff in run defense.

One team is gonna get the short end of the stick... We'll quickly see which team VERY soon. If we catch Huff on his ascension then ok. Time will tell.
