Bryce Canyon May 2021 | My First 50 Mile Ultra
This was my first ever 50 Mile Ultramarathon! I ran the Bryce Canyon Ultras that was hosted by Vacation Races. This was my 2nd race with Vacation Races and they did not disappoint! It was so well organized and the course was pretty well marked. The views were amazing, and I got to meet a lot of awesome people along the way! This was most definitely a race that I will never forget!

Thank you so much! And a marathon is no joke. lol I remember doing my first marathon at Disney at it just got me hooked into doing longer distances! I wish you the best of luck on your first ever marathon! It's going to be amazing! Where is it going to be???
Your Sonoma video is difficult to beat, but I loved this one too. Kudos to your friends from Nepal!

Congratulations!!! I never saw the appeal in running anything more than a marathon, but your videos have really inspired me to try an ultra sometime... it looks so much fun, and alot of other emotions too :-)

Thank you so much! And I was actually the same way. I never thought I would ever do anything longer than a marathon. But, when the pandemic hit and the RunDisney Races for Marathon Weekend got cancelled I started watching ultra running videos on KZread. I got hooked and just had to do an ultra someday.lol It's funny though, I feel with ultra running the longer you do it, the further you want to go with the distances. You would definitely love doing it. It's definitely a challenge, but it is sooo worth it:) If you ever have any questions, feel free to reach out!

This race was my first too! (my experience is on my channel) The temp swings were wild. The rolling start was nice because I did not make the start in time with the traffic bottleneck. Congrats!

That's so exciting! Are you running it with Vacation Races? And thank you! My camera is a GoPro Hero 7 and I use a FeiyuTech G6 gimbal that I had gotten on Amazon. Highly recommend the gimbal. Have used it on a number of races now and love it

@@passporttorun I am looking at the Cascade Super Ultra in Washington! It's net downhill which sounds ideal for my first 50 miler 🤣 Is your camera set up heavy with the gimbal? Or is it not so bad?

@@austinandjanna That's so exciting! Have a blast during your race! In terms of the camera and gimbal, it is definitely something to get used to. During any races that are not ultras, I carry it in my had the whole time. But, with ultras, I will put it in the back of my hydration vest so that I at least have my hands free from time to time. If anything, I highly recommend taking it with you on practice runs to get used to holding it for an extended period of time.
I don't have time to watch this but I wish you well. I did walk 50 feet to my car, today. Just put one foot in front of the other.

@@passporttorun that's awesome, we did in 2022. You won't get tired because of mind blowing sceneries of slot canyons, horseshoe bend, etc.
