Should clean the splines with brush wire and use water proof grease like "green grease" or evinrude triple guard. So easy to service later.

He did. Right at the 13:35 mark you can see Mike talked about how he cleaned everything with a wire brush and there is grease on the splines and the connector.

Ya'll didn't inject any additional lube in both sides of the bearing inside the housing unless that was something new they added after you made this video. They say it's not needed but just an added barrier from water intrusion to the sealed bearing.

I had to look up the carrier bearing on their website and see what you are talking about. Lol Looks like they must have added this step from when we purchased the bearing and made this video. Thanx for the insight on that. Good to know.

@@SketchNationSxS Don't worry, my dumb ass at first thought it was retaining compound. I was like, WTF, green is expensive. Had to go on their website as well and realized they included a syringe of waterproof lube to inject. Lol. Then I proceeded to use my own green Loctite I had on hand. Your shaft seemed to be super-rusty and you had to press it into the carrier. Mine being not so dirty just dropped right on in.

@@Bizill75Lol Never know what you will run into working on these machines. One guy will have to press them in and the next slide in with no issue. Glad it went smoothly for you.

@@SketchNationSxSY'all got mud holes. I'm in the SW desert and we had shit for rain this past monsoon. Dry ass a bone. My carrier bearing was still great shape but I changed for preventative measures.

@@Bizill75 Oh yeh we got plenty of mud holes around here. I ride a lot of Kentucky and Tennessee and we get plenty of rain out here. Hopefully we can get out west this coming up year. Would really like to go to MoHab someday.
