I don't understand the "you need niche scents in your collection" mindset. For guys in their teens and early 20s I find the dense scent profiles of most niche fragrances come across as too mature and end up seeming a bit tryhard. I really like Tuxedo by YSL, but I can't see myself wearing it enough to justify getting a bottle.

Totally agree. You’ll end up smelling like an old man 😭 designer is more than enough for under 30s , since most people in this age range don’t even wear cologne apart from sauvage

im 47, if you are below 25 there is no way you " need niche" , and about ysl tuxedo... i recommend it to people over 30, it does not smell young by any means and also, it is pretty expensive... the only safe " niche" fragances i recommend to young people that come to my mind at this exact moment are 1. mancera cedrat boise 2. parfums de marly layton 3. xerjoff erba pura 4. etat d libre remarkable people try to find them at discounters and never pay for them retail price.

@@thegoodfoke3606I just turned 20 and I found your comment to be very helpful and informative, and since you brought up the topic of safe niche fragrances would you recommend buying Herod cause I tried it 3 times and it kept smelling better and better each time tho it kinda make me smell way older so idk if I should do it or not.

@@AaaaAaaa-qc6jj Herod is a great fragrance and if you love it, by all means get it if it won't break the bank (75ml at Frag buy for $134 right now🙂). Having said that, it's a more mature fragrance, and I wouldn't recommend it to my 22 and 24 year old.

I'd love to see a video that's something like, 'If I could only have five fragrances for life, what would they be. A definitive list.' No hemming and hawing, no qualifiers like 'five designer and five niche' Just five fragrances to cover all seasons and special occasions. This is different from five favorite fragrances cause, if you're like me, four of my five favorites are for cool/cold weather.

There are thousands of such videos, but KZreadrs can't make one definitive list because they always have to produce new content. In any case, Omar also talks about the fact that a basic collection can be summed up in five types of perfumes for five different purposes: 1. All rounder - like its name is suitable for every situation and every situation 2. Perfume for very hot weather/sports training 3. Perfume for winter, cold weather and evening hours. 4. Perfume for dates 5. Perfume for special occasions Regarding the specific type, there are hundreds of perfumes that can fit into each of these categories and it is worth choosing one that will suit a specific person.

Bruh, that first one was arabian oud resala. Niche, high quality, beast performance and longevity, >24h. I’m deducting points from you for that one.

The bottle at the bottom with Arabic on it is Arabian oud Resala, and your girl over at curly fragrances talks about it all the time. It is niche, not that niche make it great.. but it is amazing.

Resalable is a monster from the house of arabian oud

JPG Scandal EDT is amazing and it works well with layering. Fresh and sweet without being offensive, great projection and longevity.

Im deducting points cause my guy didn’t know about the heavy hitter Resala and also he didn’t review my collection 😂

That Resala (with Arabian writing) is more expensive then those PDM's :P. Maybe not more expensive but up there. Its supposedly a brutally strong niche version of Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian / Lancome Oud Bouquet.

Silver Lattafa horse head bottle is their Sedley clone, believe it’s called Maahir Legacy

The fragrance at 2:05 is a very good fragrance, a very strong chocolatey oud fragrance, it's by the Arabian Oud house, I purchased it myself and it's my longest lasting and strongest projecting fragrance, even stronger than Red Tobacco and Arabians Tonka for me. You should try it !

Great video but I can't agree with your Dylan Blue take. Maybe it's sentimental because it was one of my first few fragrances, but it's still a top 5 all time for me, even with a nice variety of niche and high end designers.

no pdm percival? i think percival is a much versatile and mass appealing fragance, its like fierce from abercrombie and fitch but made niche and more intense and aromatic, also longer lasting, cannot beat that, but hey, i have nothing against layton, we all know its a masterpiece aswell, especially the older batches...they are insanely good and more fruity, i just prefer percivals scent profile over layton.

roasting collections is much better! but also i'd say for some they can smell like 10/10 with only few fragrances but i see where you are coming from

Non fragrance related, but can you grow your beard longer, I think it will suit you, and then just shape it to make it look better, I think shorter beard doesnt compliment your face while the bigger beard will ,just my random opinion hahah
