    The boarding by bus was due to the fact that you boarded a flight to a destination inside the Schengen area, but the aircraft was parked at the non-Schengen area terminal (concourse B).

    Alright but this only shifts the issue: why did they park the plane in the non-Schengen area for a Schengen flight? Sounds like poor organizational standards.

    Thanks for the honest review of the airline it was really interesting. I myself have flown numerous times with my home carrier and never experienced these troubles but I hope you will be flying again with them maybe on a "better day". If I might suggest their own booking service on their website mostly makes sure you are seated next toeachother which I find more enjoyable. Cheers from Belgium!

    To answer the your question 3:50 sometimes an aircraft comes from a non shenghen destination (terminal B) and depart to a shenghen destination as this was ur case. Aircraft was park at Terminal B and you gate was at terminal A. It's not really common but it sometimes happend.

    2:18 You can, and are recommended, to check in hand luggage. Brining your tons of stuff (which is more than allowed by the way) slows down boarding and delays flights.

    So I don't understand why almost all 'full-service' carriers in Europe don't have free checked-in luggage anymore if hand luggage makes everything more complicated. Obviously everyone takes their stuff to the cabin instead of paying 50% extra just for their bags.

  • @jlust6660
    @jlust6660 Жыл бұрын

    As far as I remembered their basic economy fare was never meant to be full-service, only competitive with low-cost carriers. For a while similar tickets (so basic fare, but hand luggage included) were actually very similarly priced on Ryanair and Brussels airlines and they would even be cheaper on Brussels airlines. Either way, that was before 2020, and I haven't flown with them since, so I have no idea of the fare difference nowadays

  • @theRealJohnnyG.

    @theRealJohnnyG.

    I think you might be right on this one. It would certainly explain the lack of basically everything. And, if the fares are similar I can accept that of course. However, in my case Brussels Airlines was about 2.5x the Ryanair fare on that day... might depend on the season though.

I didn.t chose my seat but man you got to believe me how much space there was. it was unbelievable how much space you got on a economy seat. I will never forget that seat. First of all, the video is well filmed and put together, but I should mention that you were on an A319, not an A320 (look at the safety card in seat pocket) 4:59 You were flying a short flight, from Brussels to Berlin, and you expected there to be IFE and WiFi? Some airlines like SAS offer WiFi on short flights, but it's uncommon. Also, inflight magazines haven't been a thing in Europe since COVID-19. Brussels airlines does offer free water, you just have to ask for it.

    6:42 The answer is: nothing. Lufthansa even planned to retire the Brussels Airlines brand in favor for Eurowings on intra-European flights which obviously resulted in outrage in Belgium. The Eurowings concept has still been fully applied to Brussels Airlines now, they offer fares from 30€ while LHs start at around 80€ and a 100% buy on board system compared to free water and choccolate on Lufthansa. It's basically just Eurowings with the Brussels name slapped on it.

    Brussels Airlines isn't even that bad. You're literally basing your experience on one flight where the plane was parked on the wrong side. I've heard people have bad experiences on Emirates for example. Doesn't mean much

    Brussels Airlines has been more and more downgraded by Luftansa to turn it into a Eurowings-like airline. As a matter of fact, it was once the prupose for Brussels Airlines to be fully integrated within Eurowings and disappear. I agree on the review and the low quality for the paid price. Terrible deal! I do however believe that while booking Brussels Airlines very clearly states (maybe as one of the best of all airlines, which generally are quite vague) what is included in the fare and what is not leaving the traveler to make a very well-informed decision on what they will get and can expect. So I am bit suprised that you make it seems in the video like you have discovered the situation on bags, meals, seating while at the Airport or on the plane. You have agreed on all that when you book your tickets and had the oppportunity to expect the level of service you got before even booking it as everything you mentionned as negative points is clearly stated while booking before the payment. It was your decision to pay the high price tag and you probably knew before even getting to the Airport that it was not going to be a banger. The only thing happening in the video which wasn't to be expected and is not okay is the way the flight attendant talk to you when you wanted to place your bags. And indeed the bad condition of Brussels Airport, but that is on the Airport and not on the Airline.

  • @jackf1841

    @jackf1841

    What 'bad condition' of Brussels Airport are you referring to? Btw, it's true LH was planning to integrate Brussels Airlines fully into its low-cost brand Eurowings. Luckily, this (horrible) plan has been abandoned and the Brussels Airlines product is in the process of being upgraded to be in line with LH/LX standards (meals, cabin, seats,...). Patience! :)

    @@daylightdaylight6612 Frankfurt airport is indeed the joke! The worst airport I have ever been to. A gigantic infinity of grey corridors filled with emptiness. Almost no place to drink, eat or shop. The few existing shops are closed. Wifi is not working. A terrible connection system between the terminals. The lifts and escalators are mostly out of order. Disgusting toilets. Rude staff. Huges areas with almost no sitting. Yes the existence of Frankfurt reminds us that Brussels airport is not yet at the very bottom of Airport quality.

    Brussels Airways is just as bad as Lufthansa, Austrian, Croatian, Swiss, British Airways etc. In Europe very few airlines still even offer a beverage service anymore. It's just water. At least ITA still offer a beverage. The flight was full so I can understand the hostess was somewhat stressed too with the hand luggage situation. Anyway they offer a great selection of food for purchase. The seats are no different than any other airline for a short hopp. Yes flying is no more fun "anywhere."

    Nagging on everything! Fares, airport, treatment upon boarding, seats, service. Any else that bothered you in regards to this flight? What did you expect? Champagne to be served as welcome drink followed by a five course meal? Poor you! Instead of expecting too much of a one hour hop - next time better spend some money to check-in your whole household, that you had preferred to carry on board for saving reasons - blocking space that simply is not avail there and of course turning up in a confrontation with the FA greeting Pax when stepping aboard. The flight wasn't a banger? Neither was the passenger! Says who? A flight attendant! 😉
