Good to see some of these workers occupying factories and unionizing though. Workers everywhere must organize and cultivate class consciousness.

At least, the minimum wage in Thailand is still higher than that in some countries. If the workers keep asking for a raise, the companies cannot compete because of the higher prices of the product. If they cannot compete, they will have to relocate the factory somewhere where labor is cheaper.

What's worse is that these fucking football players won't share a dime or even fucking notice these people and help them, even if it was 2% of their check. Fuck.

Allen Lambrecht well in reality you hear of some footballers like drogba giving millions into ivorian hospitals etc but paying someone more money than they know what to do with then there's people on this video counting pennies struggling through each day

Yeah we fail to mention the good and thrive in the bad, even while good exists it's still overpowered by negligent evil. #goodpplstillexist

and this is not the worse thing. Thailand is in middle of upheaval with protesters trying to bring down the government while these people are trying to get their jobs back and are seeking redress. many of these jobs will be going to Myanmar where labor costs are less and that government will offer these corporations better incentives to relocate or open new factories. cannot imagine what conditions will be like for those workers. (Myanmar has already announced it plans on doubling its rice production in 2014.) capitalism is the only game in town. "Capital flows to where labor is cheapest." Karl Marx
