@@SuperChunk19 because they don't do much with it there's Fuck all hand to hand fights and the campaign hand to hand fights are so scripted it's impossible to lose. Rockstar need to work on there combat more the graphics and details are fine they're kings at that shit now so they should focus on improving more then just looks

from the missions it looks like they tried, but since you got a gun and everyone else does you cant really have fist fights as much as you want (if only you or the enemy could run out of ammo)

@@backforcee exactly thank you that's my main problem it looks fucking beautiful but they don't take advantage of it instead they're to busy turning their game's into interactive movies of real life simulators when they could be making the best third person action games. But nope they're going the same route as naughty dog

@@Tunova Might be a rare counter-attack animation who knows, I’ve never seen an animation added into a game like RDR2 that was that smooth but again, who knows, I don’t create mods and I haven’t played the game in forever so I’m not kept up with the latest mods

rdr2 has a level of immersion and interaction with the world that most game developers can only dream about

That's because other big devs don't give a shit about the games they make (Ubisoft, EA etc) they know they can put in half the effort and still make bank which is their only goal. Take Two is also greedy but at least R* games give a shit about the game they make.

The thing I forget [and love] most about RDR2's unarmed combat system is the ability to move NPCs around once grabbed - backing them up against walls/obstacles, towards ledges, etc.

For anyone wondering it appears he’s also using the enhanced brawling mod which is why he’s got way more animations

He’s a scumbag average clickbait rdr2 content creator.

The first one seems like a scripted mission. Once the guy is thrown out the window the trigger for the guy in the room is hit and he comes out, once he’s taken care of the trigger for the guys at the stairs hits and they run up, not many games are nearly as dynamic as RDR2 is and that’s what makes it amazing

do you think you'd ever do a tutorial on how you set these up? or just your thought process behind some of these scenes, I'd be really interested in that, I remember watching your vids before I fully beat red dead and was honestly convinced these fights were actual story mission events, just due to how good the enemy placement was, and how cinematic all these fights are, was sad to see they weren't but even more impressed that you made fights better then most the actual fights rockstar made

Half of theme are random events, but other half i dont know so it would be greate if he would make that video, and i think theres in the rampage trainder option to disarm enemies so i think he enters the mission dissarms everyone, puts somewhere else gang members and fights

@@rdr.erased yea but he sets up full sequences, enemies showing up exactly when he needs them to or walking through doors, would be cool to see some of his tricks he's learned along the way to get certain results Aswell as how he resets these, does he gotta delete everything then redo it everytime, or does he just load some sorta save

I'm honestly kinda sad they didn't try to implement a more in-depth combat system with these amazing hand-to-hand combat animations. Hopefully it's something they're planning on implementing and improving upon in GTA 6.

pretty damn HUGE and highly innovative gameplay mechanics and features placed into the game already (day 1 release was ~100GB😂). I wish there was more melee/centric gameplay too, but it is what it is. Yeah let’s hope so for GTA VI (bring back cage fighting! like in TBoGT!)

The hand to hand combat in this game is amazing. One of the best I’ve ever come across.

The first Hallway should've been when you have to save Karen, be like a scene out of Daredevil 😅

this game has really good awareness. I think the fact that you can just throw some guy off a balcony or through a window and have it look like theyre actually going through or off is great. Also the fact that some people even expanded on that and added like slamming heads into tables is great too.

The hand to hand combat in this game is one of the greatest I’ve seen in a game. Half of the moves in this video I haven’t even seen before.

I know this is going to come across as odd, but I like the way they fight in this game, it's very scrappy and kind of dirty in a sense. I love a good marital arts brawl as much as the next guy but it's also fun to see no real technique that you can pin to a martial art as well. I do recognize some moves, but some are universal to martial arts. I myself want to add some "underhanded/dirty" techniques to what I already know as a trained martial artist.

I love the technical stuff, but I have a soft spot for dirty boxing. I love how Arthur is actually slipping and ripping the body. When they throw that weird downwards puch, Arthur gets his elbow with one hand and wrist control with the other then an upper. Very nice.

I, too, love using Micah's fighting style to fight, because it fits Arthur so well, when Arthur gets angry, he's FUCKING PISSED, but as John it's makes so much sense for him to not be as brutal because he's a family man now, not an outlaw

3:29 dude this part reminded me of that crappy movie Gangs of New york, this makes me think that the game could have a very good gang vs gang mode with melee tools, like imagine a quest where u gather up some axes, knifes, wooden bars and with a gang and u meet up somewhere to have a massive fight against another faction. The game engine itself delivers beautiful results

I love game development and the interworkings of game creation. I know it took a long time just to make the rdr2 melee combat so I wish they would’ve utilized it more.

I gotta say this, the combat looks a LOT like Assassins creed 2, brotherhood, and revelations.

The new Sifu update looks really great.

How nice would it be if Rockstar just gave us the ability to mod this game, it’d be brought back to life I feel like. A fan-made Red Undead mode, Viking and knight shit, I can certainly imagine. It’s hard to find top tier developers who allow that as much as has happened with Skyrim.

I've had a table slam animation but that one looked like a modded one. Notice how the camera moved with the animation. In the regular table slam animation the camera doesn't track like that and I believe it actually is slightly faster than this one
