The brutal crossover Jetour T2 (the Jetour brand belongs to
Chery) designed by a former Porsche designer
Hakan Sarakoglu in the native market is available in six
trim levels starting at $19,500. Jetour T2 has a monocoque body, so it is not a full-fledged SUV that has a frame. However, this is not an ordinary front-wheel drive crossover. First, there's an all-wheel drive system based on a sixth-generation BorgWarner clutch. Secondly, there is an impressive ground clearance of 220 mm, large approach and departure angles (28 and 30°, respectively), and considerable fording depth - up to 70 cm. Jetour designated the all-wheel drive system as XWD. It's automatic all-wheel drive.
In the first case, the declared fuel consumption is 8.4 liters per 100 km, and with a two-liter engine it will be slightly less than 9 liters per hundred.

Chinese carmaker Chery, perhaps best known for their Matiz-aping QQ minicar, has decided to cut the middleman from the process of designing cars that look like existing cars and went ahead and hired a designer from a company well-known for design, Porsche. The designer, Hakan Saracoglu, previously worked at Ford, where he was on the Mondeo and Focus projects, and while at Porsche Saracoglu had a hand in the design of the 918 Spyder, Boxster, and Cayman. Not a bad resumé at all. Saracoglu is a graduate of ArtCenter in Pasadena, CA, one of the best-regarded auto design schools in the world.
