A day in Brussels, you can enjoy some of the city's main tourist attractions and immerse yourself in Belgian culture. Here is our itinerary:
Morning:
1 -Atomium: Go to the Atomium, a modern icon of Brussels. This futuristic monument is a representation of an enlarged iron crystal and offers panoramic views of the city from its spheres. There is also a museum inside, which explores the history and design of the Atomium.
2 - Mini-Europe: Next to the Atomium, you will find Mini-Europe, where you can see miniatures of famous European tourist attractions. It's an interesting way to explore multiple attractions in one place.
3 - And going down the entire street from Atomium you will reach the Colonial Garden made by Leopoldo II, many flowers and fruits, all species came from Kongo, and each one was planted in a specific place according to its position, according to the seasons.
4 - Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert: Located at Koninginnegalerij - Foursquare 1000. Opened in 1847. One of the first galleries in Europe, much visited for its stunning glass and wrought iron roof that allows natural light to enter. Gallery is made up of three covered passages: Galeie de la Reine, Galeie du Roi, which connect in a T-shape.
There are 200 meters of pure beauty and art, here you will find a variety of shops, including fashion boutiques, jewelry stores, bookstores, cafes, restaurants, chocolate shops and patisseries.
A great environment to do your shopping, enjoy the delicacies or simply walk around feeling the elegant atmosphere there.
It was here that I bought my Belgian chocolates at Neuhaus, the most traditional since 1857, exceptional service, very refined, not cheap, but it was the best chocolate I tasted, you can buy it in bulk, where it costs an average of 88.00 euros per kg .And there are also options in bars, boxes and gifts, highly recommended.
Here is also a popular meeting point for residents and tourists, offering that sophisticated and charming atmosphere.
Leaving the gallery we went for lunch at the most traditional restaurant in the city to taste some Belgian food just to the right leaving the Gallery at Rue des Bouchers 18, we enjoyed the Mussels and fried fish (En Friture), enjoying the George Pils beer.
5 - It was at Chez Léon (1893) that we stopped for lunch, a very familiar, cozy restaurant, we stayed outside because it was summer, but don't miss out on a visit to the restaurant, very creative and playful decor.
7 - Belgian waffle: Try an authentic Belgian waffle at one of the many waffle houses near the Grand Place. Choose your favorite ingredients to accompany the waffle, such as chocolate, whipped cream, fresh fruit or ice cream.

As Charleroi airport is 1 hour and 30 minutes from Brussels Midi station - Brussels center.
As you pass through the arrivals area on your left, you will find a self-service station to buy bus tickets to Brussels Center - Bruxelles Midi;
