My wife recovering from cancer and I danced to this song tonight. When I first heard this version I knew I had to play it for her. We could not finish the dance because she begin to cry she was so happy she is strong enough to dance again. We mostly listen to old school rob and gospel music but this version reminds me of the old school RB. Also I thank the Lord for healing my wife the cancer tumor is shrinking the chemo is working

Anderson is less mainstream, this is why you’re hearing what you’re hearing. I’m reality many critiques actually enjoy Anderson’s music more, his projects like Oxnard are so different to the music he’s making here and this is the result of him being so unbelievably versatile. A class act of an artist, I’m so glad he went from homeless to this!

This gives you hope for this generation for R&B, even if it's a remake. There's just so much auto tune and lack of creativity in general in today's music. Bruno is one of very few artists today that truly has talent and commands respect when he puts music out.

I agree. The original is 🔥. Silk Sonic gave it their own little twist but it still is in sync with the original. These guys can do no wrong. Imma need to hear them do a Switch remake, I Call Your Name & Cameo, Sparkle.

Please don’t stop the silk sonic stuff, it doesn’t need to be every album from now on, but a song or album every once in a while would just be *chefs kiss*😩

There isn’t one song of Silk Sonic’s that I’ve disliked or had to warm up to. I love the nostalgia of the old school R&B, blues, and funk. It’s pure genius.

I was 2 when the original song came out and hearing my family play it, Dru Hill now Silk Sonic..I love all 3 but damn it S.S killed it even Con Funk shun members themselves has praised S.S. on their version

I thought this era was over but it is not. I’m so glad that this kind of music still rocks. I was teenager in late 70is! You guys are realy excellent artist.

Bruno and Anderson complement each other. Starting from leave the door open to this each and every song feels different and fresh and which is very soothing. Even their commercial songs were great. I really hope they make another album together. They are both great together

Não exatamente, já que é um cover de uma música antiga, só mostra como não existe mais música de qualidade hoje em dia.

I gotta respect Anderson.Paak and Bruno Mars for bringing old 70’s soul out. They gel like they were peanut butter and chocolate. Just go good together (which makes sense considering Paak was on Bruno Mars’ 24 Karot magic tour).

They been making some throwback BANGERS together.

I love the original, and you guys did this song justice . Love it

The transformation from 80’s synth-pop to fuller warm tones of 70’s phillysoul is amazing. Bruno’s vocals sound grittier to compliment Andy’s. The drums and the base are in the pocket and feel oh so good ❤️‍🔥🎶❤️‍🔥

@@cms-pacnw3315 he's also a smoker so his voice has definetly gotten more grittier. The smokings helped him out though, his voice is alot stronger and has more smoke to it. It seems like he can hit higher notes easier.

Right?! The original was released in 1982 so it had that synth sound. I love what Silk Sonic did adding that 70s sound to the song. I even love the fact that I hear a string section (Something I lot of 70s songs have)
