What a nice, down to earth guy. Doesn't let the footballer lifestyle get to his head and keeps his feet on the ground. I wish we got him at Arsenal but he seems happy at Newcastle so looks like it worked out for the best.

Not a Newcastle fan but this guy is just what that team needed and he's happy too, great relationships Eddie has done a phenomenal job so far.

Seems like a genuinely nice, humble guy. An absolute baller of a player and a steal for Newcastle.

Newcastle loves Bruno back. I'm so happy to hear that the flags and the support made such a difference for him. I'm sure it had a similar effect on Joelinton too, in fact if a player is trying his hardest in a toon shirt, they get the love from the best fans in the world. If you have been to St James Park you know the atmosphere and passion is second to none.

People underestimate just how important it is for footballers to live in a good city, weather, food, countryside etc. Fans forget they are people too with wives, children and pets, if you can make them feel safe and comfortable where they live then it goes a long way, that's why so many footballers talk about the weather lol

As Bruno and his missus say, they don't want to leave. Why would they. The toon is on the up and for those not from the area, its lush up here apart from the weather. Absolutely fantastic midfielder for us. Best since Rob Lee or Speed. Way better than Cabaye and seems to love the area and people.

I’m a chelsea fan but this guy is such a nice humble bloke. Completely honest and you can see him and his fiancé are close he obviously respects her a lot. I also respect how he says what a lot of people who have lived here there whole lives forget and take for granted, it is safe. Your kids can go out to the park and run around the streets with their mates in the vast majority of the country even the rougher areas without running the risk of being caught in a drive by shooting or gang war. Also respect how he doesn’t want to trash talk his country, he says it’s safe here but when the interviewer asks him to elaborate he declines to do so very politely. His parents must be very proud wherever they are now
