McAvoy was scrapping with Tkachuk the entire game and he’s a big dude. McAvoy is much bigger than I thought he was, 6’1 210lbs, not a small guy, and he’s plays much bigger than 6’1 210. As talented as he is, he loves playing physical,never hesitates to throw his body around, that scrappiness really comes out in the playoffs, he’s not afraid to play the enforcer.

I loved marchands response to Tkachuks cheapshot on Hathaway. Instead of retaliating, marchy looks back at the official to confirm a penalty was called, and we end up scoring on the subsequent powerplay. Marchy has stepped up as a leader in bergerons absence.

It's amazing just how much Marchy and Bergeron have rubbed off on each other. Bergeron went from being a Lady Byng contender to being willing to scrap from time to time, and Marchy learned a lot from Bergeron's discipline. This is really a situation where neither player would be as great without the other one.

These games have looked a lot closer for big chunks than a matchup between the team that set the all time wins record and a team that only snuck into the playoffs because the Penguins choked should look. They have spent way too much time (Florida) in the Bruins end.

interesting serie it turned out, from 3-1 lead to 4-3 defeat.

The announcers on the feed I watched the game on, didn't even mention the goal that counted from game 3, and the continuation rule. Jack and Brick are so much more knowledgeable and entertaining. Dafoomie Rules!!

Meanwhile, in the Toronto/Tampa game the exact same thing happened - I mean literally, the puck sitting between the legs of the goalie, NOT covered - Tampa scores and the refs rule they lost site and blew the whistle. Thankfully this doesn't happen too often but it's so inconsistent when it does.

@@TheTruthCalls seriously, if the pucks not covered, and a goal is scored in a reasonable amount time right after the whistle is should still count. And I’ve seen it three times where it does count, so there SOME consistency to it

@@123gunnerify Yeah, but the fact that it is sometimes allowed and sometimes not allowed is problematic. I'm not sure if you saw the play I'm referring to in the Toronto/Tampa game but it was virtually identical to this one. I heard the whistle blow in both cases just as the puck is getting knocked into the net, and in one instance it was allowed and in the other instance it was not. I realize this is an incredibly fast game, but the excuse the whistle blew .5 seconds before the puck entered the net is unacceptable to me, especially since it was clear in the replay the puck was loose.

Krechi was brutal game 2. They said he was injured . but is a healthy scratch . They want to win the series so Krech is pulling the splinters out of his ass cheeks for now

Love Ulmark showing some of that scrappiness and willingness to go. The refs screwed up by giving him a misconduct, what he did was correct since Tkachuk was going after him. Shades of Timmy Thomas, and I loved the heck out of Thomas.

At the end there it sounded like the beers the announcer had during the game caught up just a little bit

We had a Similar crappy first-round end to a great season happened to the 71 Bruins. They rebounded and won the Cup in 72. Here’s to hoping….

That's what I was trying to figure out. Edwards is going hoarse and spitting out words just like Most! Two all-time shameless Boston homers. I grew up in Boston w/Most's broadcasts. As a kid it was fantastic, like a wrestling match. Now it's kind of amusing, almost pathetic, but still happy to see such a powerful Bs team win without Krech and Bergy. And what were they throwing rats for? None of that was Marchy's fault.

а по факту крайне низкое качество игры с огромным количеством брака и грубых ошибок. уберите драки суету и прочие спецэффекты и что останется в итоге. беготня. а в финале кхл играют две прозащитные команды старающиеся взаимно сушить игру друг друга.

I got stuck watching the Panthers stream yesterday and boy were they making Tkachuk sound like he was just being ganged up by 3 players for no reason. I really need to find a stream for NESN, I cannot take Sportsnet and TNT anymore! And the "goalie" hug at the end to top it off!

NHL should really hire him. He goes back in and gets all the moments of interest, hits, fights, scrappiness, the emotional component that hockey fans love to see.

Even though the Price/Thomas fight way back when at this point could’ve been something, I feel like this could have ACTUALLY been something had the zebras let it happen.

You can hear the whistle with the puck loose in the crease- no goal was the right call, another screw up

Ullmark’s got his version of a Gordy Howe hat trick. Not in one game as expected of others. He’s already got the goal. He got an assist today and a fight. Ok, they wouldn’t let him get into it, but he was he threw the gloves and took the mask off ! Plus, he got the game misconduct!!

Slow start to the series had me worried a bit. I know they won game 1 but they still looked out of sorts. Accuracy of passes and effort on the forcheck have picked up tremendously. A fire has been lit in these bruins for sure so let's carry it into Wednesday and put them away.
