The fact that they added 2ne1 mash up in the last mission warmed my heart. Because after all the ups and downs at YG, seeing some of them leave, it gives me a positive thought that they are still a part of YG family. And they will never be replaced. They are still there, as legends. Thanks for such an outstanding and memorable performance by the girls. What a tribute. ❤❤ When the 'last evaluation' teaser came out, I immediately thought that it was just a marketing strategy, or just a different way of introducing all the members. Because it's weird if they're going to cut some members but the starting point is only 7. And I could say this roller coaster strategy is effective enough to make the fans love the girls even more. Because at first, YG let the fans fall in love with the girls with bunch of videos and intros, and then made them believe that they would lose some of the girls. In marketing, this strategy plays on a prospect’s fear of missing out, and makes each episodes worth the wait.

I waited for ur reaction for this episode. As a YG Stan, this eps really really hit me. We got GD, 2ne1 and the final announcement for OT7 or OT5 of baemon. I believe this 4 months baby monster journey, proved to everyone that they are super talented and inseparable. Let's keep our finger cross and pray for all of them!

Omg love your reaction, so cool watching a 2NE1 fan react to the tribute. Also cool that you knew about the 6 year or go home writing. Also your one of the few reactors to catch the signal song, most others completely missed it.

Your reactions are always on point coz you catch all the details! I'm just a pretty new YG fan so I could only imagine how mixed emotions it is for you to see the new gen doing 2NE1 medley. But the girls surely delivered, I'm just waiting for the clean version tho coz it seems like I only watched a 20-sec clip lol. I'm so excited for the song as well coz it sounds like a disney show song, or an OST of highschool themed uplifting story of a girl. I think the snippet perfectly captured what I have imagined baemon to sound. The song is emotional but hopeful, vulnerable lyrics yet youthful sounding... reminds me a lot to TREASURE and their songs. I believe in the power of 7. The ep.8 thumbnail already told us lol.

I think the biggest tell is that this is pre recorded to almost a year ago and then seeing all the clues. My favorite I've been saying is the clip of Keil Tutin teaching ALL 7 girls a choreo as he isn't part of YG. If this was all live I'd be more worried. The 7 members are definitely debuting together. YG isn't stupid enough to trick fans by introducing the "trainees" as members first and then cutting them because this whole thing was an actual survival show. Talk about creating instant antis before debut if they do that and losing a big % of your already established fan base. Remember the difference between this and every other survival show is no one watching knew this was going to be a survival show the first time they introduced the girls.

I think you’re absolutely right that YG will debut all 7 members from the following: by the last song featuring all the members; the way Yang Hyun-Suk hugged all the members (it didn’t need to be shown); the launch video teaser for this group where Lisa mentioned all members work well together. Hyun-Suk appears to be doing this for dramatic effect but also to ensure the girls have a head start in the social media arena. Just my humble thoughts.

5 members were that Mr. Yang have ever thought,but when Lisa has been famous, he changed his mind. He added Thai girls. Now,it's 7. They will debut together,soon. The song at the end is a new song of them.

You don't disappoint. :D One of the very few reactors to immediatly recognize their voices in the song at the end. Yeah, thats an original song (not a cover) with lyrics and a message that perfectly match whats going on in this moment. We hear all 5 vocalists sing during the part, that we got in this episode. We can expect to see the full song performed at the announcement on May 12th as first original babymonster song. I can believe that he really planned (at some point in the past) to create a 5 member group, like he planned for Blackpink to be a way bigger group. 5 would make a lot of sense for Babymonster as was the case with Blackpink having 7+ members (to position them more as YGs Girls Generation or Twice). But at this point it is tradition that YGs plans regarding group size never work out. ;) At least he recognizes what is the best in the end and is open to change his mind. Sure in theory it would be possible to create a 5-member purely vocal group (since we only heard the vocalists in the song) therefore letting Ruka and Asa split apart as their own rap duo (or join Blacklabel for their upcoming group). But I can't imagine YG going in that direction. Babymonster without rapline wouldn't have the "YG Genes" that where promised. So that song at the end more or less confirms OT7 in my mind and is there to tease us a bit more :D Drama and twists... YG loves those. Thats why I says at the end "the final members will be announced" and not "the final 5 members will be announced". :D Of course the tension (will he / wont he cut somebody?) is a golden marketing opportunity to create attention that they don't waste. But if they really wanted to cut somebody, the "Last Evaluation" teaser announcing an elimination would've been played before their live performances and introductions and the show would've been edited differently. All signs within Last Evaluation and outside point to an OT7 debut. All 7 having social media accounts, supporting jisoo's solo together last month and going together to concerts might be also an indicator. ;) EDIT: On some level I would be curious what would happen (with the fandom), if they really cut somebody at this point :D Morbid curiosity, I guess...

Your assumption is that the decision has been made. Imho, everyone in YG doesn't know yet. They are probably still deliberating and then YG has to present to the board of directors for approval. It is natural to still see the 7 trainees together since the result is not out yet.

@@shfqqxx4479 Yes, that is exactly how I feel. YG is doing something new. They film the evaluation and debut process. That goes with other survival show like Sixteen, Treasure Box, NiziU etc. Along the way, trainees will be eliminated. Why waste time filming all those being eliminated if your logic holds true. The difference here over those survival shows are that, the preliminary eliminations were done during their monthly evaluations over the years. Since 7 wasn't the final figure, more will be eliminated. Twp good points come to mind with this series: 1. The public gets to know even the eliminated trainees intimately and these eliminated trainees will still have a phenomenal future in store for them. 2. YG gets to produce a series where they can make money and at the same time, gets Baby Monster to be popular even before they debut. Other rookie groups before they debut, hardly have much introduction. We know so little of everyone of them.

@@ignatiuschua5268 I don't think you understand how that works and what goes into planning and preparing for a debut. The "Last Evaluation" was filmed way back in 2022 (first episodes around April - May 2022). Their decision who to debut (and the debut date) was made before they released the first teaser (back in December 31th) starting the marketing campaign. Since then, they're preparing for the debut, training as a group, producing the songs, the album, the merch, shooting the mv, planning / booking the promotion schedule and more. No they're not still deliberating who to debut.

@@Guthwulf11 I don't think you are right though. It takes three to four months to prepare for debut. So, they will debut between Aug 2023 to Dec 2023. Plenty of time. If the final members have been selected, won't it be leaked easily? Yes, first ep is in April last year based on Jennie's hair. Each task takes 30 days. It also doesn't mean that the task comes one after another immediately. It might be and it might not be. My gut feel is, the selections have not been made yet.

You were my fav reactor to this series. Your experience as YG stan commenting your thoughts of why is this or why is that was vere helpful and entertaining. Thank you so much ❤ And I truly think and hope they will be 7, I understand that a producer has to form a team not a conglomerate of talent but in this case eliminate 2 (even 1) will affect negatively. The team work and sound is great, no one falls behind in talent and the distribution is great (5 vocalist, 2 rappers / 3 koreans, 2 japanes, 2 thais; appealing big markes)

for me they will debut as 7. this program is just showing us how babymonster formed. what's the struggled they been too during the evaluation, how talented they are.

They truly give justice to mash up. They are 100% in sync. lively stage present Show man ship facial expressions Graceful but smooth movement Note: We all want to debuts 7 they deserve it. Ending song are them glad you noticed it and you notice all their voices I Ike your reaction so much.❤️

Also same with Treasure. Initially it was just 7 members. Then they decided to debut 6 more members divided into Treasure and Magnum but eventually debuted as one team. So I honestly think they will debut all 7. And it's so hard to choose only 5 members because all of them are really talented and compliment each other well.

If it is gonna be 5, then one rapper and one vocalist will be eliminated. Those that will remain are most likely Ahyeon (can sing and rap) and Chiquita (born talent). Ruka has more YG swag than Asa, so she probably will make the cut over although Asa pronunciation is much better.

There’s another key point in the 2nd teaser for BabyMonster. The song that BabyMonster sang towards the end of this video has an opening. It’s an instrumental opening for the song they sang in the 2nd teaser. There’s a clip where all 7 of them too with mics (I think them singing this song). Watch the 2nd teaser. There’s a lot of hints there.

You are right. The wearings of the seven members in the picture in 0.59~1.01 of BABYMONSTER - 'Last Evaluation' TEASER #2 are not the same to any of their wearings of them in any other evaluation episodes.

Been there since BB and 2NE1 debut too so....yes I'm on the same ⛵. 😢😂😂❤ Still traumatized by the whole 2NE1 debacle, and it's almost been a decade and a half.

As a fellow long time YG stan we have seen YG's "drama tactics" many times before. There is no way Baby Monster debuts without all seven of these talented girls. After watching all the content and getting to discover and know all 7 girls, it is obvious that each one contributes to what Baby Monster is all about. There is no Baby Monster without all 7 members. Say what you will about YG, but he is not stupid when it comes to recognizing true talent. It WILL be Ot7 on May 12th.

Darn it, Jan, my tears for 2NE1 have completely dried up long ago but the moment you started crying my eyes welled up a bit too. 2NE1 really is THAT special group for us OG YG fans, aren't they? What a final episode to end the series, seriously the best one in its entirety. The fact that YG actually made Babymonster dance to a 2NE1 MASHUP OF ALL THINGS in the last episode - my heart is so full. So, so happy. It's been years since YG ever did anything involving 2NE1's music and during those times where there's just complete silence, I can't help but feel that they've simply just let 2NE1 go and have forgotten their legacy and that made me very sad and almost angry at some point. Sure, YG artists themselves will mention/fawn over 2NE1 in their social media/interactive lives at rare times but seeing none other than YHS himself bring the group up, their legacy, their music and how it "represented YG the most" after all these silent years - FINALLY. It really is a love-hate relationship with this man lmao. There can be no better tribute to 2NE1 than having the next generation YG girl group dance to their songs for their last mission - and I can't state it enough how Baemon did so flawlessly. They blew it out of the park. Lee Jung's choreography was insanely good, really brought forth the intensity and captured the spirit of the most iconic 2NE1 songs - she deserves a standing ovation for that. Also, I know she's always been but she's very pretty in this episode for some reason, like she's glowing. I think I'm in love lol. I also really love how she had the girls work on their own choreos and picked the best parts to incorporate into the performance, very good stuff. And the snippet of the signal song? In full English? Already sounding so good and very fitting for the emotional last scene which made me teary-eyed because I'm a total softie for people tearfully celebrating their success and remembering all their struggles to achieve it. All in all, best episode with insane replay value just because it almost had everything you can ask for as far as showcasing the girls' passion, talents, and hard work and what YG really is all about (even had a short but sweet BIGBANG reference with the famous YHS "Do you want to go home after practicing for 6 years?" question to GD in his pre-debut years). The 2-week wait for the final lineup announcement will be a painstaking one, but even though it's never been clearer to me that Babymonster will be OT7 (growing stronger with each episode, augmented by their social media presence and activities, and the strongest it's ever been with this final episode), I can't even deny that - because of how unpredictable this goddamn man is and his evil marketing ploys - I feel even just a speck of doubt in my heart that YHS will actually push through with his 5-member final lineup plan and I hate that there's a part of me no matter how insignificant that actually buys into his bs. YHS will be laughing for two weeks while we all dread. This man I swear...

I think we as a YGSTAN all should do something like mass emailing on every YG mail.. coz YANG himself is waiting for the demand and there's no point in postponing the announcement if he really thinks the final should be 5 instead he is setting up a date which means he is literally giving 1 week's time to us viewers to make it happen, he is testing out the atmosphere...Yeah, I'm pretty sure he already has the final 5 in his head but he also does know the fans want something else so if we increased the demand for all 7 of them then he will surely change his mind just like he did with Treasure..

Asa, ruka, haram, rora and ahyeon are the original 5 imo. Theyve been together the longest and they already fit together. But I think when lisa became a global star that was when YHS thought of getting the 'next lisa' by adding thai members. First was pharita and then chiquita. No need to worry though coz pharitas mom was active in social media recently and was interacting with thai fans confirming they are official as OT7❤ Harams mom also changed her IG pp to a picture of 7 girls😉

Chiquita, Ahyeon, Ruka, Haram, Asa or Pharita but I’m leaning on Asa. Chiquita and Ahyeon were the most pushed by the show. Ruka just has the presence and has a lot of responsibility dance wise it appears. Haram because she is just such a talent and darkhorse. I want Asa because she is a powerhouse and YG having two rappers has been a signature. I’m iffy because I love Pharita’s voice so much and she has been super popular and might break YG’s rapper mould. I love Rora’s talent but I haven’t really been captivated by her presence yet among the other members.

Yes! That's there teaser song cuz insider said they already recorded 3 song's but didn't reveal how many members and said there are two songs to be performed one is cover one is original. And remember in teaser 2 of last evolution there's a clip there that has 7 mic and standing behind that is all 7 members and we didn't see that maybe just maybe that be performe in may12 and the clip where Keil teaching them as far as I know he is not a trainee teacher Rather a idol dance instructor meaning he is mostly for debut idol. There are so many hint in this series so Im not that worried after reviewing all the videos. 🤭🤣

I hate yg for not releasing the clean version of the dance

If you ask me, I still believe it is the 7 of them that will debut and all these pre-debut stuffs are just a segmented documentary of BABYMONSTER. But if you ask me if there's a chance that there will only be 5, then yes. Because from the way they presented this whole "last evaluation" series, I can't help but think that it is the modern day version of how BIGBANG was formed. Add the fact that Yang Hyunsuk must have been really regretful of how BIGBANG's ending turned out to be, it must have influence him to produce their 2nd coming without the flaw of sending the members to military service or being prone to scandalous circumstances. Meaning, debuting a female version of Bigbang. With that being said, the lineup for the 5-member Baemon will be close to what BIGBANG was, and that is what Yang Hyunsuk must be imagining whenever he talks about "combination". So the members that I think will be in the 5-member lineup are the ones who gave their speech on the last part of the episode.
