    I totally get the Twins' frustration with the crowds and judges, when they battle in France. moving against Les Twins because they've had some success is stupid. It is like sabotaging the French football team during the World Cup. It makes no sense to those of us in the rest of the world. Their success is France's success. Even the American's who developed the dance forms can't beat them. If Juste Debout can't be judged fairly, no one with integrity would ever want to take part in the competition.

    I saw this comment the other day on one of the twins battles, and it was something along the lines of how does it feel to dance in a battle and have the whole room staring at you, analyzing you as they’re waiting for your next move while for everyone else they cheer with encouragement and excitement? I know battles thrive off the energy of the crowd and it blows that the twins have rarely received that love when they’ve participated in European battles, especially French battles. I guess it doesn’t f*ck with them in the moment too much since they do well regardless. But dancers regularly feed off of the energy of the crowd, so it sucks seeing everyone keeping straight faces around them every time. And they’re not “mesmerized” like some of you like to say as an excuse, they’re just hating lol

    What they said about Diablo?

  • @benjaminpasqualini6530

    @benjaminpasqualini6530

    4 жыл бұрын

    basically, Larry said Diablo barely dances standing up 15 seconds and for what's left he was dancing on the ground (seated), as well as he stopped dancing before the time was over (1min per dancer). Larry says "diablo is a friend of mine, but don't forget he was a Harlem shake dancer when I first met him, after all, I gave him a lot. I asked him to join my crew and there he learned everything from scratch" Larry's opinion "When you smoked me in a battle, I say yes I lost, however, it was well played. However when you steal me the moment whereas I could smoke it all (he was speaking about the dance skills from the judges), and the only one makes all the difference at the end. I got fucked up by someone who danced 15 seconds seated, so yes I don't understand"

    @@benjaminpasqualini6530 Thanks so much for the full translation of what Larry was saying about Diablo, which he really needs to let go of. Even though I don't speak fluent French and only know a little, I had sense enough to know Larry was talking trash still about that long over and done with situation with Diablo. I thought he'd learned his lesson by now about being careful of the words he speaks about other people. Looks like that prideful ego hasn't quite gone away yet and humility hasn't had a permanent chance to take its place. Although I admire Larry's dancing a great deal, he really needs a dose of pure and lasting humility. I love Bruce's humble & fair responses, on the other hand. I'm praying for my boy Larry, though. That cockiness is only appealing when he's dancing. Can you please translate in English all that Laurent said?

    McPhee Godzgal Larry hasn’t spoken about Diablo or what happened at Juste debout, since that day. He clearly was in someways still annoyed by it, I agreed he shouldn’t have said some of things, but him and Diablo are cool. Diablo’s crew has talked a lot of shit about the twins, and it must’ve sucked to have the whole crowd, your home country, not showing you love at an event like Juste Debout, or any event in France. So i can sense the twins frustration at times. But after this interview was posted, Diablo and Larry did talk cause they were both at the JD school to teach classes. Larry posted him and Diablo on his ig story, taking back some of what was said and showing him love. They’ve been in each other’s lives for a very long time and have been more like brothers in the past. They had a conflict, but they are cool now.

    @@samc3945 I get your points, especially about his native country not being supportive, but with Larry's actions & what comes out of his mouth at times, the evidence is clear that certain past issues still exist in his heart & mind; it's ongoing with him. When there's genuine forgiveness and reconciliation, the past remains the past. Moreover, Larry obviously hasn't evolved yet in regards to selflessness, humility and discretion. He's got a lot of growing up to do (very self-centered & domineering most of the time, even with his own twin brother). Diablo's crew and Diablo are two separate entities, and Larry's comments about Diablo were inexcusable and uncalled for. Compare what he said and what Bruce said, then catch my drift. Bruce was gracious (consistent disposition with him) & used great wisdom; he was just & fair with his comments, not showing partiality or rehashing something that had been said or done in the past. Again, I love Larry as a dancer & am actually partial to him as a dancer (he & Charlize Glass are my all-time favorites) , but he's got to stop going around in circles, saying one thing, then doing another. It's out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks. Him being over the past differences he's had with Diablo (and anyone else for that matter) hasn't been let go of yet for him; it's a display of petty, superficial forgive & forget with him. On the other hand, Larry is king when it comes to his superb gift of dance; but, again, his prideful, egotistical, and undiplomatic ways have got to cease. Nonetheless, I'm hopeful and prayerful his change will ultimately come. Take care and have a blessed weekend!

    McPhee Godzgal I’m not trying to overanalyze Larry’s character, as I do not know him personally, and I’m pretty sure you don’t as well. I’m just a fan of the twins, but I’m aware like most humans, the both of them are no stranger to flaws. Thing is people tend to highlight Larry’s a little more. I think it’s because in the past he was more carefree, quieter, and Laurent was always the more dominant twin. Now they’re more so equal, and some people miss the old times. I do too sometimes, not because he was less dominant than Laurent, I like how Larry is more vocal like his brother now, but because they both seemed happier. I was just trying to bring context to the situation, but you seem to have already have your own perspective made up, which is fine. I view the twins, specifically Larry since were talking about him, differently than you do but that’s cool. Hopefully one day you’ll be able to like him as person again. Hope you have a great day as well.

    Apparently Americans find my first language Afrikaans verrryyy sexy. We làugh about that one. We often speak our language to hear if it sounds "sexy". But to ourselves we just end up sound I like phone stalkers. My language tones are very low and slow though. That might be it. And we have a different way of pronouncing the rarer sound. Much like Mexican. But I'm so spoiled bý Les Twins. I'm in turmoil. We have 11 official languages with dance being the 12th. We are called the dancing nation. So i decided to learn a 3rď. My fatheŕ's first language Zulu. But i kinda want to rather learn French rather. I'm such a fan. By the way plèase never learn any Afrikaans from Charlize Theron. That girl is ratchet. She only teach people to swear in Afrikaans and it sound so sèxyyyy to them. But as we not Larry's cart here now. When thè twins was asked if th can speak other languages Larry said yes Spanish. Lau called him out as a liar and asked him to say Good morning in Spanish. With that Larry craziness he said Buenos Morning. But I do i know more French than Zulu Je'taime And Merci . 12:16, Le passage de Diablo il est à comparer avec les performances d'Usain Bolt. Il laisse tout le monde derrière lui dès les premiers mètres et il passe la ligne d'arrivée en coupant son effort alors que les autres donnent tout ce qu'ils ont et même plus. Les Twins ont été arrogant en faisant passer le message que Diablo n'était rien d'autre qu'un danseur qu'ils ont fait monter alors que Diablo a parfois inspiré les twins. Et quelque part les Twins ont aussi gagné puisque c'est un ancien Criminalz qui a gagné. Durant le battle, ils ont tout fait pour pousser Diablo a bout et du coup il a atteint l'ultra instinct maitrisé ^^

    Weiss soumah when they greet people in other countries they’re always respectful and nice, unless you show you have a problem with them. they don’t get good treatment in France so why be fake nice, super humble amongst people who don’t fuck with you?

    this has to do with some of the comments, but France just doesn’t fuck with the twins lmao. From what I know the hip hop scene there wasn’t about them when they were kids either, then they got big so of course the hatred grew. it’s funny because people outside of France always talk about how trash the hip hop community is there. They have great dancers but the politics and arrogance is something else. Even Bruce was talking about if JD does continue he doesn’t want it in France because of how the politics in the dance community always f*ck everything up.

    Katerina Greece they don’t like them because they got big lol. It has nothing to do with them being “cocky” at times, France still wouldn’t show them love regardless. People who really know the twins know how kind their hearts are. I’ve seen battles where some French people were glaring the twins down and now a few years later they’re good friends with them 😂😂 some people who have talked shit about them in the past (without having real interactions with them, just hating because maybe their other French friends didn’t like them either) actually became friends with them and now praise them lmao. Everyone in France just naturally dislikes them, even if they don’t know them personally, because of the fact that they’re successful. That’s how the French are.

    Katerina Greece you should watch Bruce’s recent interview with Otis. He talks about French dance culture and also mentions their attitude towards the twins around the 40:00 minute mark. It’s a very insightful interview if you wanna understand the culture more from his perspective

    Je kiffe leur arrogance et quand ils parlent d’avoir descendu des grosses têtes du game au JD 2008. Ca doit être dur d’être un de leurs haters, les gars sont partout. Underground comme mainstream. Par contre pas top leur mauvaise foi pour Diablo, ils sont très bien placés pour savoir que le mec fait des passages hyper courts et que c’est suffisant.

    Hmm L'arrogance ça me dérange pas chez qqun comme Jordan qui a gagné 6 titres NBA... L'arrogance ça me dérange pas chez qqun comme Mayweather Jr qui prend sa retraite invaincu en 42 combats. Mais faut un moment dire les choses : le JD ils l'ont gagné UNE SEULE FOIS! Respect hein! Mais une fois quoi. T'as des mecs ils l'ont gagné 2 voire 3 fois (6 fois dans d'autrres styles). Reparlera pas de toutes les fois où ils se sont fait "descendre" : C'est la danse c'est tout. Parfois tu gagnes, SOUVENT tu perds. Donc à l'arrogance des Twins au succès "relatifs dans le game, je préfère l'humilité d'un Niako ou d'un Icee dont on compte plus les victoires dans les plus grandes compétitions.

    Lowkey Jay no need to come to me with non factual arguments. If you were in the game then you would know how numerous time they tried to win other big battle and they just failed to. And you know what it’s ok! Everybody wins and lose! My point is not to diss LT, just put things on the right places with facts... just facts. So you can say they are the best dancers... fine by me it’s JUST an opinion.

    Lowkey Jay The only fact is that they are the biggest names in hip hop dancing nowadays but It doesn’t make them the best dancers. There are other dancers who took their art and level beyond, especially in terms of freestyle.
