It's one of the great things about Springsteen that he's capable of making pretty much every song he plays his own. He even managed to play with U2 and make one of their songs his own in the process! You should check Out U2 & Springsteen at the 25th Anniversary Hall Of Fame concert with "I Still Haven't Found" - not necessarily for a reaction, but just for the sheer enjoyment of it! :)

He also manages to reinvent his own songs. His live version of "Open All Night' on Live In Dublin totally sounds like a completely different genre let alone a different band

Greetings from Canada, again, eh!!! Well, you got the full treatment here, E Street Band with the E Street Horns and Choir and Tom Morello. I was at 3 shows on this tour ( Detroit, Toronto and Hamilton) just loving every second of it!! For reference, that's Curt Ramm on Trumpet, who tours with Bruce, have horn will travel, and Clark Gayton on trombone. I play trombone, well use to, and when I watch and listen to Clark, why bother, eh.........In every show, Bruce always includes solo times for everyone. If you catch a video of "Johnny 99" with the horns, everyone plays and boogies!!! I'm with you, I lived through the disco era, and had this thing jammed down my throat. However, one of Bruce's talents is arranging any piece of music to fit practically any style. Enjoying your work, love when you cruise down E Street, it's a big street with no speed limit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(request link at bottom) Bruce arranged this to show respect to the Bee Gees, not just in their native country, but their home city specifically. The effort to make it a special performance is indicative of something I really like about him. It sounds kind of hokey, but he says part of their responsibility during shows is to carry that flag of rock n roll, just do their part the best they can. He loves to highlight other musicians and try it all. He doesn't have to be Jimmy Page to arrange his band. It's over the top huge, and he just embraces it. Morello, I mean who would think he'd do two world tours as a member of E Street. Because Bruce never told him to hold back his unique style. He encouraged him to go off. Bruce lobbied for three years to make Darlene Love the first primarily backup singer to receive induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He said those songs would never be still known without what she and others who never made it to the front sang. He respects and cares about music and musicians like a historian. This request is one of the very best clips from the 70s version of E Street. It's honestly just marvelous. 43 freakin years ago. Rosalita Live in Phoenix Darkness on the Edge of Town tour 1978 He almost gets gang banged on stage. It's awesome, hilarious, and the performance is what he do, y'know? kzread.info/dash/bejne/dY18qcpvnNC5ktI.html

When Barry Gibb of the BeeGees heard this cover he thanked bruce to at least breathing new life into this song if not giving the song a new life completely. and i don’t think there’s a better compliment you can receive on a cover. and jake kills it on the sax.

so glad you got to this performance! Im not a fan of the song either but Bruce and Co. made it their own. Springsteen has a knack for knocking cover songs out of the park. The Estreet Band is often described as "the world's greatest bar band" and here you can see why.

Springsteen really re-worked this song brilliantly. Personally I loved the original, though my favorite songs of the Bee Gees are songs before and after, "Nights On Broadway" and "You Win Again." The former has a great video from The Midnight Special tv show and the official studio version video of the latter is great. I know you won't do these as official reaction videos, but just a recommendation. And I love Springsteen's version of Purple Rain.

Tom Morrello is so innovative and can still kick the ass of a traditional rock and roll guitar solo. I love that. I love hearing great players play the music that inspired them to innovate. Ray Charles sang a million different styles of music but never let you forget his feet were firmly rooted in the blues

My first thought was, I hope he doesn't try any falsetto. Pleasantly surprised. Not bad at all. Springsteen made this into a tribute to the Philly soul roots of the Bee Gee's mid 70's sound. I guess I shouldn't be entirely surprised. They even indulged in some nice extended instrumentals and some strings to back it up.

GREAT reaction I'll misquote him, but Bruce has said to the effect that he puts the hard work into engaging the audience in the first 3 minutes, then the rsat of the show just follows This was an opener, so he took that audience full zero to full on when those lights first came up ( btw at least one other high profile reactor ended his reaction after the fade - thus the specific request) - cheers

Good reaction to this performance by The Boss! It is perfectly fine to not be a fan of this song, but Bee Gees were so much more than just five years of falsetto and disco hits. They made some music which was very different from this. I would like a reaction to the song Bee Gees-Heavy Breathing, Bee Gees-All This Making Love or Bee Gees-Marley Purt Drive.

So thank you for that, really good job ! I know you have done a lot of Springsteen reactions, but I would love to see one more (feel free to do much more). I would like to see you react to a live version from Bruce to "growin up". The song is from his debut album from 1973 (Greetings from Asbury Park, New Jersey). The live version ist cool, because it shows one more time, that Bruce is one of the best performs of all time. If you Don't believe check the video! Greetings from germany! Of course, the artists could honestly care less. The smart artists actually are probably glad for the free exposure to potentially new listeners and fans. It's the record labels and production companies.
