Robert Lee at his age is exceptionally sharp and articulate.

I never knew Bruce had a little brother and seeing him for the first time is like seeing Bruce.. same light-hearted energy same straight forward humor when being in his presence. I'm 27 years of age and didn't grow up during the '60s or never met him, but I've been a always been a huge admirer of Bruce and my impression of him every time is you feel like he's your best friend and he'd be there for you and you'd be there for him :)

I know this is a late response, but Bruce had other siblings: older brother Peter (passed on), Agnes, Phoebe and Robert. Phoebe and Robert were in the intro to the film, "Bruce Lee: My Brother". It was more of a drama explaining Bruce's life and family in Hong Kong before leaving for the States.

Bruce Lee also had a older brother Peter Lee who passed in 2008 from a heart attack. His eldest sibling is his sister Phoebe who is 84. He also has an older sister Agnes.

Maybe because they said after bruce his father passed away he almost was a atheist and he learned Catholic which is false preaching as well in revelation which God didn’t approve

This was such a treat to have Shannon introduce her uncle R. Lee and share his account of growing and living with Bruce Lee. This really made my day. As a behavioral health,therapist that has dedicated my adult life working with patients with substance abuse and mental health disorders. I believe that when I got clean and sober from alcoholism back in 1991. I made a decision that I would communicate my life to helping those individuals and their families that are struggling with these disorders so that they can get back on track of living and productive life. Which from end it's a blessing to have the opportunity to help and make a difference. But when my life doesn't agree with me. I have always since I could remember was to watch one of Bruce Lee's movies to help me get through some of this challenging moments, and get perspective. And yesterday, I was watching " Return of the Dragon-AKA: "The Way of the Dragon." And help While I was making some Chinese chicken fried rice. Which I learned while hanging out with my Chinese friends in Chicago China Town. And af As mentioned this was a treat. And look to many more!

A brilliant podcast gem for Bruce Lee fans. I was born in 73. My dad named me after Bruce, Ar Long. My dad, a big Bruce Lee fan, and he made sure I trained in martial arts as a kid. Which I still train to this day. Thank you to you Shannon and Robert for sharing your treasured memories.

Stumbled upon this didn’t know about these podcasts. Appreciate the program Shannon! Grandmaster Bruce been inspiration for generations of humans transcending beyond race, creed, nationality, gender etc. Paying respect!!

In the mid-70s I remember buying Robert's recordings of *_The Ballad of Bruce Lee_* and *_JKD._* Yeah. "You can find the way with JKD." I jogged and trained to the vibes of it. I mean I had, what I thought was, my Bruce Lee body, abs and everything. Today it would take a whole dredging crew to find just one ab! At that time just like a billion other people in the world I thought I was going to be the next Bruce Lee. Like there will be no other Elvis, I quickly realized that there would never be another like him no matter How Many new martial artists and singers appear on the scene or how many biops are made about the two.

Shannon Lee I had been your fan since the 1990's when you did movies. You are a beautiful woman and you have a great legacy. Honor and Service.

I met Robert Lee and his mom and Shannon's grandma briefly in a restaurant in LA China Town while walking on a flight of stairs down To leave when They were coming up ... One person in our group knew Them ... a real nice guy 🌈💙☯️☺️🕊️☮️

That was touching! You could tell Shannon was learning more about her Father through her Uncle. He had some great stories about Bruce. You could tell by Shannons face that she was taking all that in!

I am watching The Legend of Bruce Lee! I am crying a lot because I wish he could be alive. His life was not easy. I feel also for Linda. I don’t know how she overcame her loses. I remember as a teenager that Robert Lee had a 45 RPM record inside of an issue of Black Belt Magazine not too long after Bruce Lee passed away. He was promoting his singing career. It’s really good to see him alive and well all these years later. Thank you Shannon for bringing him into the public once again. I think what you have been doing all these years is so very admirable. i grew up watching his movies and other shaw brothers films. my dad actually met Bruce lee back in the 60's in san fran. my dad was going to law school at hastings and had to come back home.

Shannon and Robert, thanks for sharing so much about your family from the "Good Ol Days". Bruce has been an inspiration to me since I first met him in 1967 in his Oakland studio. I was only in jr. high school at that time and a friend told me that one his dad's worker's was taking "jeet kun do" from a guy named Bruce Lee. I had never heard of this new style of kung fu and didn't know why it was being taught to non Chinese which ruffled a lot of "feathers" in the San Francisco Chinatown martial arts community. I had taken the bus over to Oakland and saw that Bruce was teaching different ethnicities. Bruce told me he would teach them as long as they were interested in learning. He was very down to earth just like you and Robert. He left an impression on me to take up martial arts and eventually took lessons also at Wong Jack Man's studio known as 880. I remember Bruce and Wong Jack Man's fight night to settle their conflicts but no one had ever talked about the result as the studio was restricted and closed to only a few Sifus. Bruce was a very humble and respectful person and did not ever look down on you. He was quite and inspiration to me to do better and challenge myself to do the best you can. Thanks Robert for writing and singing the Ballad of Bruce Lee. Thank you Shannon and Robert for sharing so much of your father and brother. Bruce will forever live in our hearts. Galen

Well I just want to say thank you Shannon for you keeping your dad's memory alive that is very awesome and I have family come on the Bruce Lee podcast and express their feelings and their memories that is so awesome and yes Bruce Lee always had a way with everybody I am 62 years old now but I was 13 years old when I first saw my first Bruce Lee movie and from that moment on I was hooked on your dad I watched everything that he had every movie he made everything that came out about your dad I would get so I would get to know him better and better I loved his philosophy and most of all I could tell he was a man that had a very good heart and so even at 62 years of age I still get excited when I see any pictures or films on Bruce Lee or anything that is about Bruce Lee and yes your dad changes a lot of people and he got me into using my mind just listening to his philosophy Bruce Lee was a great man and he will always be missed and I don't ever think they'll be anyone that'll be as close or even get as close to being like your dad Bruce was so I just want to say thank you Shannon and I hope in the future you have more family members and have more episodes with his brother Robert because I know he has a lot to share and you know memories are the greatest things that we can have and are the greatest things we can share alright Shannon thank you keep up the good work

Just came across this video and didn't expect I would finish watching the whole 50min video. Very joyful to listen to his story. Such a kind man and brother of Bruce. I remember I saw Robert a couple of time driving in Monterey Park back in 1990.

Thanks for sharing these stories. I really enjoyed the story about Master Bruce Lee (李小龙) trying to learn about the guitar and taking impromptu lessons from Robert. Hahaha, he just gave up and said playing the guitar is not for me! I can so imagine how that happened... I am a black British man who has learned about 3500 Chinese Characters, can speak conversational Mandarin and even visited China twice and stayed with people who don't speak any English. I was inspired by Bruce Lee (李小龙) to learn Chinese, via Master 何宗道 who acted as Bruce Lee and popularized his name the world over too.

Amazing and pleasant conversation and well conducted by Shannon Lee. Robert seemed to me to be a very pleasant, sincere and grateful person. Congratulations for the post.
