No one can match Gillan on this song but Bruce sounds just like him badass

Bruce Dickinson has always been a great admirer of Ian Gillan. He did this superb song total justice.

Would like to hear Bruce do "Pull me under", I think he would sound good.

Labrie is a talented vocalist however bruce wouldnt sound like a dyin cat in the higher notes

Once again I wonder where these pearls have been hidden from me all the time. This one is really good, but the original has an outstanding position in my list of alltime-favourites...;-)

I've always said this song would suit Bruce's voice and I didn't know this existed I just googled Iron Maiden Perfect Strangers and was amazed that Bruce actually did it and with Dream Theater wow!

Bruce Dickinson is without a doubt the 8th wonder of the world.No one, and I mean absolutely no one in metal yesterday,today or in the future can or will come close to his voice.Thanks for putting this on. I didn't even know Bruce teamed up with DT and did this.Oh yeah...DP rocks!

THis is during an old BBC radio show that Bruce had in UK. DT was intervied by Bruce, and in the end of the show they played this song together. Some say that there are a lot of covers sung by Bruce from this age. It's nice! :D

Wow! amazing, amazing vocal. What a timbre and quality to that voice. Bruce is most assuredly one of the best rock/metal voices of all time. I love Ian G. as well but this was amazing. Love the song....love this rendition.

I think Bruce is likely one of the great rock singers of all time. But I think I prefer Gillan's voice on this tune. Both of those guys really have the extreme pipes. Amazing.

bruce is simply out of this world...lost for words.

no way Bruce could sing child in time. He hit that A once in his life, it's the scream you can hear in number of the beast. He was never able to do it again. And in child in time he would have to hit an A 4 times.

He hit it on the last note of flight of icarus and actually alot more on some live shows but yeah i dont think bruce can do it past the samson/early maiden era

Back in 1980's my first Heavy Metal Band was Iron Maiden "Eddie" always caught my eye & in 1993 I became their Fan club member from Pakistan. I still listen to them, Bruce has a unique killing voice. X Factor was done by Blaze Bailey, I gotta say Bruce & Bailey are unique blends & they are far better than perfect. Now cover for Deep Purple, with DT wow. Thanks to 3 young guys who started KZread so we may watch these epic videos. They sold KZread, sold to google for $1.65 Bill.Thanks for vid:)

i saw DT once back in 1996, i think it was, at the house of blues in hollywood california, and Bruce Dickenson came on stage with DT and they did 3 or 4 songs together. dont really remember exactly what songs they did, but i think perfect strangers was one of them. All i really remember; " was thinking........HOW FUCKEN AWESOME IS THIS". And to my knowledge, it was bruce who played a big part in getting things rolling for DT, as far as expenses and costs. i could possibly be wrong about that but i believe i read it somewhere, way back in the day, in the early 90s
