I emailed Bruce's fan club back when email was first becoming a thing. I told him how my friend and I loved the laughing lamp scene in Evil Dead 2 and we would get jazzed on Pixie Stix and watch the scene over and over (we were 13). Months later he responded with a single sentence: "Whoa, better watch it 'sober' next time." I'll never forget that.

I sent a 3 page story to this guy in his email at the time and he responded with nearly 9 pages on how to write it like a screen play. I later adapted my storywriting into Role Playing. Thanks, Bruce. To this day that means the world to me!

Dude, come over to the dry side (Colombia Plateau) in the GPNW sometime, we all do it. After all we're neighbors. Doesn't matter if you're the McDonalds with over 230,000 acres or Norm Goree, with only 250, you always need the extra hands now and then. I would very much be that person who would help, im not much for herding but sewing, cooking, cleaning - i can do that lol! My comment is more about the randomness he seems to attract but all the same, you comment was rather heart warming! So thanks for that!

He seems very down to earth. I don't blame him for not wanting to live the typical Hollywood celebrity lifestyle. It would suck to be recognised and bombarded with questions everywhere you go. He seems grateful that he has fans, but he also has his own life to live, with a family and friends. I feel like that's how I'd want to live as an actor, having a small, respectful fanbase.

As a youngling, I had the opportunity to spend about 6 hours with Bruce. He was signing about 2,000 copies of "How to Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way" for my uncle's publishing company. There was a miscommunication where he thought he was going to sign a few dozen books at an event, not 2,000 copies in an assembly line fashion, but he was totally cool and cordial. I brought him stacks of the book and would take the signed copies from him to another table, and during that duty he dubbed me his "little minion". I was about 10-years-old and totally star-struck, having grown up watching Evil Dead's and Army of Darkness (and playing the PS1 and PS2 Evil Dead games), and loving his cameo in the first Spiderman movie (giving Spiderman his name!). After he finished all the books, he signed my siblings and my own Army of Darkness and Evil Dead posters, a pack of Army of Darkness playing cards, and my Farlane action figure of Ash vs. The Pit Witch. After all these years and many item purges and moves, I still have the unopened action figure box, signed "Griffin, Stay Groovy, Bruce Campbell". He told us that the cards and action figures were way cool, but had no idea they existed and definitely wasn't receiving any royalties from all that merchandise. I will cherish that memory and will always, always be a fan of Bruce.

Almost forgot he also helps out Spidey in the video games as the narrator... love those games.

That last answer was awesome. That's the dream right there. An accomplished actor with a cult following, living in a rural area in the early later years of their career with neighbors not affected by your fame, and herding some cattle with them. Bruce is living the damn dream. Long live the king of B horror.

After hearing this, I'm def gonna miss Bruce when he does go. One of the few celebs who seem genuine and down to earth

My gf in the 80s asked me, “Have you seen Evil Dead 2?” I’m like, “Saw the poster. Looks dumb.” She knew my sense of humour and wouldn’t take no for answer. Well that was over 30 years ago. We’re not together anymore but here I am.

Im literally so damn happy Ash vs Evil Dead happened. It is probably my favorite TV series of all time. I never once felt bored or wondered when the series was gonna end. In fact im kinda hoping for more, not sure if that will happen, but damn happy either way. Thank you Bruce and Sam! Now 7 years after this AMA we have a wonderful game title, its been a blast being an Evil Dead Fan

I was at a screening for "My Name is Bruce" where he did a Q&A afterwards, and I was surprised at the restraint he showed. I'd just finished reading "If Chins Could Kill", and just about every question could have been answered with "READ MY BOOK". Instead, he basically answered all of them, verbatim. Saw him at Comic Con a few years later, and he was obviously having a much better time of it. I don't know if it was because the people asking questions weren't complete bellends, or if (and I'm basing this on what it cost to be there, and see him) he was just making bank by being there, but he was incredibly jovial, just hamming it up and (appeared to be) having a great time.

I like him so much more after watching this. He’s so... real.

I saw Evil Dead as a teenager because of my brother. I'm so grateful to Sam and Bruce for giving us comedic horror. Bruce is a good person. This interview is a person trying to dispel rumor and teach subtle truths Very nicely done.

He's as charming as ever, god DAMN

I love Bruce Campbell, randomly watched evil dead as a teen on IFC and first time really falling in love with horror genre. Watching Ash"s character going from typical 80s pretty guy in horror movie to badass nothing to lose demon slayer all within one film. Kinda just worked cheesy, but t the kind of cheese you enjoy and want so much more of. Asu vs evil dead was purely to see Bruce Campbell be funny and enjoy acting .

Sometimes movies are better without them, like people want Pulp Fiction 2 because they want to know whats in the brief case but it being unknown is way better.

Thank you for the many hours of pain and suffering you endured for our entertainment and for bringing one hell of a character to life for us.

Bruce Cambell seems like a really down to earth and amazing guy.

Bruce autographed our copy of Briscoe County at a book signing where our family was surrounded by Evil Dead fans. It was a highlight. I love that show and wish it had run longer.

The only celebrity worth worshipping.

jim bob there are a lot better at acting then him, Marlon Brando for example. But he’s one of the best people who act.

Bruce is one of the most genuine and coolest actors in the business. He's great in everything.

My daughter met him at comiccon Calgary Alberta...Shes met so many actors and actresses.. and he was the most fun and sweetest human...he took the time for her conversation and a picture we love..Hes truly a sweetheart.

I feel like he's one of those awesome guys that you could sit down and chat with for hours and never get tired of him. You could talk about anything.

Really ironic the question the show from Last Fan Standing was a Dr. Strange related question.

Love Bruce. He's the only reason I've ever given horror movies a chance. Especially love that last story about his neighbor s My best friend got to meet him at s book signing like 10 years or longer ago.

He's like the best father figure ever.

Brisco County Jr. is one of the most underrated TV shows of all time!

He is the absolute best person to have at a comic con, best panels I've been to

Such a good guy, probably one of the nicest people in the business, based on my very limited interaction with him and just every interview i've seen him do. Hope we can look forward to him sticking around for the foreseeable future

It's kinda awesome how humble he is about his career. A lot of actors let the fans' adoration go to their heads. It's great that he really hasn't forgotten where he came from :) Love your work, Mr. Campbell!

Ash vs Evil Dead is freaking great. I just binged it this week. If you haven't pulled the trigger on it, do it. You won't regret it.

Bruce Campbell is perfect in 90's

I first saw Bruce Campbell in Hercules, and loved him and his character. Much later I saw him in evil dead, and it was awesome!

RaidenFreeman i saw evil dead first then the tv hercules... but did not make the connection years later since i was just a small kid. later on when i know then i started to watch other projects he is in and cant get enough of him.

He still looks young for a 57 year old.

Great guy. One of the best AMA I've seen.

Of all the humans I have ever met in person nobody matches the charisma of Bruce Campbell. Dude fills a room with his energy.

It's still one of my top 10 favorite TV shows.

"Army Of Darkness" has always been one of my fav movies since it came out.

Bruce is amazing. he's hilarious, he's versatile, he's humble about it. man, i would never wish to impose on this absolute legend but, if i could go for beers with one movie star, i think this dude would be it. he's so genuine and amazingly cool.

Guy is 100% legend in my book. Also the necronomicon.

That last one was so awesome. I'm from metro Detroit and have always loved your movies. Sad I missed the AMA, I actually remember seeing it an hour after it ended. Glad this video exists.

Man this guy is a legend. My dad had me watch you when I was 12 or 13. I loved all the movies. Especially the Ash vs Evil Dead!!!!
