Thanks, Rick! Yes, the Boly camera does the nighttime color video. The problem is that certain animals get spooked by it. It also unfortunately has a slow trigger speed, and it misses some of the action sometimes.

Awesome video, my friend! I can't wait to see what footage that spot will produce! That copper mesh is also brilliant! It's neat to consider all the things to consider when setting up the camera spot. I would easily have forgotten to consider snow height, haha. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing your process!

Thanks Dayyan! So many factors... Where the sun is shining, the branches in front of the camera could be problematic, but I could possibly get birds landing on it.

Thanks Colin! I was a bit worried about the downed tree on the left... but my test for the first week proved to be ok with a camera that I know is notorious for false triggers. I was kicking myself as I forgot my pack saw in my excitement to get out there to do the ultimate long duration setup. If I get all the usual suspects there all winter I will know to try somewhere else. There is a lot more undeveloped land north of us.

@MaineWoodsbooger Crap... Now you have me worried 😜. I did break off what I could while I was there. I even tried moving all of it, but it's was still partially rooted into the ground.

Dude I have a good feeling about that spot. I'm pretty sure next to nobody goes there so the critters probably just run free. I will cross my fingers for a kitty cat.
