All lyrics with their Greek writing, translation and a small analysis on some parts from me, since as a Greek I understand everything: DEN THA PERASEI (Δεν θα περάσει) (He will not pass) TELEIONEI EDO (Τελειώνει εδώ) (It ends here) SKOTOSE TON (Σκότωσέ τον) (Kill him) SKOTOSE TON, EMPROS (Σκότωσέ τον, εμπρός) (Kill him already) or (Go on, kill him) KOLOSSOS SOSTE MAS (Κολοσσός σώστε μας) (Colossus save us) This lyric should be "Kolosse sose mas" (Κολοσσέ σώσε μας) in order to mean "Colossus save us". The sentence "KOLOSSOS SOSTE MAS" is wrong. LYTROSTE TI RODOS (Λυτρώστε τη Ρόδος) (Redeem Rhodes) Since this lyric goes along with the above one, it's like asking the Colossus to save everyone and redeem Rhodes. But the word "LYTROSTE" means "redeem" in PLURAL form. Since the Colossus is just one, then the singular form should be used, which is "LYTROSE" (Λύτρωσε) OH, PATISE TON (Ω, πάτησέ τον) (Crush him) In Greece, when we say "PATISE TON" or "PATISE TON KATO" (Crush him down) while in rage, we actually mean something like "Destroy him, step on him like a little cockroach" xD. Fun fact: The first time I listened to this lyric when I played it, I was keep hearing "GAMISE TON" which means "Fuck him" :D and I was like "No way they actually say this! I must have misheard it!" SKOTOSE TON, KRATOS (Σκότωσέ τον, Κράτος) (Kill him, Kratos) Without the comma (SKOTOSE TON KRATOS), this sentence could actually be translated into "Kill Kratos". PO PO, APISTEFTO (πω πω, απίστευτο) (Wow, unbelievable) PS: The word "Kratos" (Κράτος) means "Country" in Greek.

If you think they don't swear in God of War lyrics, check out Euryale's theme from God of War 2 -- as I recall, they call her "the fat bitch." Also, I remember reading somewhere that the name Kratos meant "power" in Greek. Do you think they meant ancient greek? P.S. thanks for the corrections!

@@iwishiwasachimp If you mean the "Το λίπος σκύλα" (to lipos skila), this actually made no sense as well but ok I understood what they tried to say!! The word "λιπος" (lipos) while it means fat indeed, it is NOT the adjective fat (for example "fat man", or "fat bitch" in our case), but the noun fat (for example "this meat has too much fat"... In order to be correct, the sentence should be "η χοντρή σκύλα" (i hondri skila). The word Kratos actually means "State" not "Country" (my bad, not fluent english speaker) but it sure doesn't mean "power". The word "power" in Greek is "δύναμη" (thinami) Anyway, yeah, maybe they swear but still I couldn't believe it...

But it must be so cool to know that a game this popular revolves around your language and culture! On a side note, I checked again. Apparently, in the real Greek mythology, Kratos is the name of the god of power or strength, not power itself as a word.

@@iwishiwasachimp The Greek Mythology is so big that even I as a Greek don't know everything... It is so enormous and detailed that its impossible for anyone to know the 100% of it... I knew about someone named Kratos, but not details... Even if he was a god, he was not in the main 12 gods of Olympus. Anyway, tbh many lyrics dont actually make any sense in GoW songs and I wonder why xD They did a good job in general and I loved every second of it, but the lyrics of the songs are pure nonsense xD And... yeah I think its really cool to know that anything that has to do with Greece is popular (like this game, or the 300 movie, which is a real story) and I feel proud of it sometimes :D

If Odin were to make Kratos snap the Norse realm would’ve ended up just like the Greek.

I feel like the "Kill him" and "Kill him already" is the bloodlust and rage in Kratos just gnawing him to kill Zeus. Just goes to show just how out of mind he was and how consumed by rage he was. He was genuinely getting frustrated with how Zeus wouldn't just die and stay the hell dead already.

The fact that this song is called brothers of blood and the rejected master piece story that could've made this song awesome didn't make it it feels sad For those who don't know instead of Zeus we were supposed to fight the actual marked warrior there and this theme would play and the marked warrior was supposed to be kratos brother deimos I don't know what kind of weapons he should've wielded but I would love to just assume that he has similar weapons to kratos in god of war 3 and you both fight with the same weapons like he has something similar to Nemean Cestus and you use Nemean Cestus against him and in this final battle he finds blades of chaos in the underworld and uses them to fight kratos Imagine how wonderful would that be

I'm pretty sure the fear didn't necessarily "control" Zeus, but more so overcame him. When Zeus got infected he gained the overwhelming fear that one of his children would kill him. Everything he did afterwards was because of this fear. Zeus made those choices on his own.

This is amazing! Can you do Poseidon wrath next ? I have looked for it's lyrics everywhere and never found them.

GoW4 has epic soundtracks as well. Wchoes of an old life extended, the epilogue, Valkyires. All of them are based on different settings and events, so it makes sense that Greece would have better soundtracks. It was a chaotic and eventful pantheon. Ragnarok will become similar to that.
