As a veteran who has laid several retirees and fellow veterans to rest, this had me on my knees crying. I will say the reverb effect during the bridge reminds me of the acoustics in a cemetery when TAPS play, it has the weirdest echo. That reminds me of it.

Hey guys, Wendy here. It was great meeting you, Matt. I'm glad you like the "stuff" so much and I hope Matt got the autographs on the set list I gave him. The next night in Ogden when I saw Adam his first words to me were bragging about getting a 307 Reacts t-shirt from you. And I hate to break it to you but they have not performed this live yet. I'm not certain if your thinking of Everybody Walking This Land or My Country Tis of Thee by it wasn't this one. I can't wait to see some of your video.

Adam's had a beautiful voice for as long as HF has been around. His short leads and harmonies are fantastic, but he's never had the confidence. I think mostly because Adam has to really understand how something works to feel comfortable doing it. So I'm glad he's gotten some training and is feeling more confident about using that beautiful tenor voice of his. I hope that means we'll hear more of it in the future.

Same here. More training will help I'm sure, and he has the support of his HF family around him. And the Home Fries will always and forever be on his side, after all. You get the feeling that he absolutely has to understand something backwards and forwards before he'll put it 'out there' and that's just another thing to admire about him.

Adam is as humble as it comes, he has never braged off his skills, but only talked about his hard work obtaining those skills. And I'm absolutly shure, that he is working houers on end, to maintaine and broadning those skilles.

Originally, Chris did the beatboxing and Adam sang. Then, Adam did the beatboxing for a song , and decided he liked that better. The rest is history. I learned that on an interview Chris did a while back. Yes, Adam has a beautiful voice. He doesn't need training, he just does what he prefers, and what the song needs to be perfect -- whether it's phenomenal beatboxing, or amazing 5-part Harmony. :)

The guys really love the reactors that react to their videos and they might not reply in the comments, but they see what's going on. They are a great group of guys, if you see one walking down the street or in a restaurant, they will usually let you take a picture with them and greet you with a smile. They are very humble and like to be close with their fans and that makes them even more amazing in my eyes that they do that.

Home Free has been there for 20 years and they keep on getting better and better. just by looking at their "Home Away from Home" clips where they show us glimpse of their rehearsals, it's amazing having these people in their production! It's now only the group that deserves utmost respect, but the crew also deserves more recognition and love! Being able to be part of their production team would be a really big honor. Also, you guys need to listen to "My Church", "What we ain't got", "Thinking Out Loud", and some of their older videos!

I've been waiting for you to react to this one! I wasn't expecting all that I got....but it was absolutely fantastic! This is by far the best reaction to this video that I've seen and I've watched them all! It is so awesome that you got to a show then got to hang out with some of them after it! This is why the fans love them so much....they are just as down to earth as they can be! The guy in Texas Hill that won the voice is Craig Wayne Boyd! Texas Hill is going to join HF at 3 shows in December...I believe it's the 1st..2nd...3rd! TH along with HF just released a new song today..just vocal no video til next week...Go Tell It On The Mountain! Also Everything Nash has an interview with Texas Hill and Austin from HF about the collab on this song...its very interesting...you should check it out! This was the greatest reaction ever!

Tim is singing as a soldier dying on the battlefield talking to his fellow soldiers. Hence Tim's breathy vocal which is very different than his normal tone. I think it adds gravitas to the song as you hear the soldier struggle to talk. Loved your reaction so much I came back to hear it a 2nd time.

What’s striking about “Brothers In Arms” is just how much Knopfler manages to convey in a minimum of words. With startling efficiency, he inhabits the soul of a wounded soldier who muses on his surroundings and waxes philosophical as his life ebbs out. It seems likely that Knopfler had the Falklands War, which took place in 1982 between the United Kingdom and Argentina, in mind when he wrote the song. But by keeping specifics out of the narrative, he makes the song a timeless treatise on the senselessness of war.

First, I am so happy that Matt went to a live show and got to experience what these guys do and see why we Home Fries love them so much! Then he got to go have drinks with the Adams! I’ve had to chance to see them live 6 times and twice at UVIP. They really are great guys! Second, I am excited to see y’all reacted to their newest release! I love it and wish I could see them perform it live. I’ll have to wait and see the rest of their schedule for the 2nd half of next year. Fingers crossed! I learned some things during your video about the audio for their live shows. I know they have a sound guy and his name is Chris, I believe! This song always gives me chills, sometimes it’s the part after Chance’s solo when the big chord comes and Tim’s low notes get to me, and always during the echo parts! Every single time! Loved your reactions and chats!

I absolutely love your reactions and breakdowns with the info on how and why things work in these videos. Most of us understand there's going to be a difference in the video shoot for their official videos and live performances. The thing that I like with Home Free is that when they do something that isn't pure a capella such as the echo effect in this video, they don't try to hide that it's an added effect. And the guys have such an amazing interaction with their fans. Both in their shows and by doing things like leaving comments on reactors channels. Or giving shout outs on Instagram or TikTok. They remain humble and loyal to their fanbase. Which keeps us Home Fries loyal to Home Free. Thanks for the story at the start about the concert and how everything played out! It's great to hear that the impression of a group of great, down to earth men is not just for show.

Of all the concerts I have been to Home Free was the best. To the point I have seen them live 3 times in just over a year. They do have issues but they stay on pitch and in sync better than any other artists I have seen. Plus as I'm sure Matt can attest to.... you feel there voices threw your body and the building quakes. When Adam did his drum solo at the first venue I saw them at it felt like the floor dropped out from under me for a second when he Yelled DROP THE BASS and did, another felt almost like getting hit in the chest.... IT'S AWSOME.....

Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits wrote this song, inspired by the Falklands War when, in 1982, both Argentina and the UK claimed rights to the Falkland Islands 300 miles off the coast of Argentina, and Argentina took two of the islands, thinking the UK was in tough shape financially at the time and couldn't press their claim, and also so the Argentine _junta_ leader could use what would be thought of as a victory to politically align factions within Argentina behind his regime. However, the UK did go to war with Argentina over it, so there were soldiers opposing each other in the field with very similar ideologies (according to Knopfler's dad, whose observation that both sides were 'brothers in arms' gave it the title). _"...We have just one world, but we live in different ones."_ Britain ended up reclaiming the disputed land, but 258 British soldiers lost everything they had or ever would have to achieve that end, dying at the hands not of some inscrutable force having wildly divergent philosophies, but of their Argentinian 'brothers in arms', who themselves lost 650 soldiers in the conflict. _"We are fools to make war on our brothers in arms."_ So, intended to be somewhat of a war protest song by Knopfler, but one that did at least glorify the fighting soldier, on both sides, while disparaging pointless wars and over-reactive national leaders who reach for the military as their tool of first resort, before exhausting other options such as the diplomatic.

It was cool we got to ask them all questions and they performed a newer song that they haven't performed in concert yet. Wendy was at the concert I attended in Bristol, TN, last month. She had UVIP tickets for that show too. (I had Q&A VIP which was great also!) I have tickets to see them again in about 2 weeks. Really hope they do this! Adam has a beautiful voice, but from what I've read, he doesn't like to sing lead because he's not as trained as the other guys. BTW, pretty sure the last line is "We're fools to make war on our brothers in arms". At the concert, I attended they did "Ring of Fire" as the encore. When Tim hit that last low note, I felt the floor vibrate (we were all standing), and my chest hurt. Also, at the VIP Q&A before the show, they sang a song just for the VIP fans. Adam asked, "Do you want to hear a song?" Of course, we all said yes, and, BOOM, they immediately jumped into the song. Your explanation of the click track helps explain how they're able to do that.

A lot of reactors, I will just slide till I see the first frame of the video being played. But you guys, I listen from the first second to the last. It's a fantastic package deal. The group and song, I love, the musical knowledge you impart, the pure entertainment of your banter back and forth, and stories, tips and trivia just wrap it up with a big red bow. This one was long, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Just keep doing what you do. ❤️

@@307Reacts I have been to 2 concert of HF, both VIP. At my first I got my biggest Foot-in Mouth disease I ever got. Totally. When it was the photo shoot I couldn't talk, I just pointed at Tim and hope they would understand I wanted him beside me. Jenika, his wife was there and my husband stood and see me smiling from ear to ear when Tim lay his arm around me. All I was thinking was his arm, his arm, around me, around me. Silly old woman. His arm. 🤯😜🥴😍😆 The other concerts was in February 2020 so there was no photos with the guys because all craziness with corona. To go out and take a drink with them... I had made my self to a complete fool of my self.

I told you Adam was a great guy! They all are really nice, humble, funny group of guys. I am so happy you had a great time and were able to spend one on one time with Adam squared. Chance is such a laid-back guy. Fries are a crazy bunch. Wendy is known for traveling...a lot and she is not the only one. I know fries who have been to 70 to 80 something shows. I'm considered a piker at 40 shows. lol

Harmonies are pure Perfection!Cinematography is Amazing! Arrangement is Brilliant! The first time I saw/heard this I was completely broken down and weeping like a child! I had to remind myself to breathe and it took a while for me to recover! I love everything about it and everything about Home Free!♥️😀🍟 Sending love to y'all from South Georgia!

Great to hear you got to see them live and met the Adams! I have to wait for them to come to Europe. Can't wait! I'm a hard core Adam Rupp fan...♥️ The arrangment of this one is by a finnish a cappella group Club for Five. Home Free contacted them about it and they just gave it to them. Of course Home Free added their own spin to it, but stayed pretty true to Club for Five's version.

Click track formerly known as a metronome. Very instrumental from early in music training so when you play with other instrumentalists or vocalist you are on the same page. You are right, without good timeing music and performances become chaos. I had almost forgotten. : )

The song was written in 1982, by Mark Knopfler, about the Falklands War, recorded in 1982 by Dire Straits. I'm Danish, but was living in London, England, during the Falklands War, and had children in my class who lost fathers and brothers. This song is important.

And a genuine appreciation for reactors - if you've haven't seen Austin Brown's cover of "Ain't No Sunshine" do so and be sure to watch all of what he says after the song stops. I know you'll be interested. I don't know if you've ever watched HFs series "Home Away From Home" - it's just various members of HF toddling around different cities (sometimes their home towns). No bodyguards, no security, just trying doughnut shops, etc.

I heard Geoff Castellucci from Voiceplay talking about those low notes and what he said perfectly illustrates what you have said here. He does it as softly as he needs to and lets the microphone & amplifiers do the work.
