Brothers In Arms 1966

Фильм және анимация

UPDATE: So sad that we live in a world where most would rather down-grade one's creations rather than commend or build on them. When the Good Lord is ready I will not miss this place. I am a veteran. This is an amateur action film based on the conflict in Vietnam in 1966. Written, Produced, Directed, and Starring Patrick Lynn. Filmed in Ohio in 2013 and finalized production in 2014. Please excuse the audio-lag that occurred while uploading the film to this site. Thank all of you for watching and most-respectively we thank all of those who served in the conflict in Vietnam. God Bless!

@@jhnmur I personally only ever used semi or 3-rd burst depending on the situation and watches were always worn and depending on situation long sleeves covered them but sometimes not.

Thank you! As described. It was an amateur action film that I put together with 16 others who had never carried a weapon or been in uniform. It was a great experience.

Americal 1970. Maybe spent some time in the "scenic" Que Son valley? Nice place in the summer of 1967! Between late May and September of 1967 1,000 US Marines KIA in the Que Son valley, and Most people have never heard of it (USMC operations Swift and Union). 2 Medal of Honor medals awarded (both KIA. 1 was a Chaplin)! Ever wonder why NO Large-scale attacks by the NVA/VC on the Danang city area during TET of early 1968 (unlike Hue, Khe Sahn, Saigon and the rest of the former South Vietnam)? That's why. The US Marines stopped them Cold in the Que Son area before TET, 1968. By body count, at least 5,000 NVA/VC KIA (tens of thousands wounded) in the Que Son valley area battles during the summer and fall of 1967. Those troops were to attack Danang during TET 1968. Remember the Que Son valley was only about 30 miles SW by helicopter from Danang! I know for a fact that the Americal got the "Shit-Kicked" out of them more than once in the Hiep Duc area (2nd NVA Division, "Yellow Star") in the Que Son valley after the Marines were withdrawn and sent further north into I Corps in late 1967! Rocky Blair (M-79/Blooper Man?), a starting running back for the Pitsburgh Steelers (Super Bowl winners, early 70's) was WIA in/near the Que Son valley (Hiep Duc?) when he was a member of one of the "grunt" units that made up the Americal Division.

@@jon-jo5pn A salute to your service my brother! I truly appreciate you sharing some hands-on history with me! My uncle was a Crew Chief on a 53 out of Da Nang. Just left his hootch when a rocket hit it. Got the honor of holding a piece of the shrapnel that was in one of the sandbags as well as a mangled AK round he found laying on the floor of the bird after taking heavy ground fire on a resupply mission. Thanks again for taking the time to respond to my film and not with negativity being that it was an amateur production. Salute.
