The Midwest Brotherhood of Steel adapted and overcame their dire situation. Taking on a more pragmatic approach to warfare. The Midwest Deathclaws were intelligent and could speak English. Rescuing the matriarch led to the integration of intelligent Deathclaws into special squads. As the Deathclaws had the highest sneak ability. The Ghouls joined after they were treated well by the Warrior. Even a town was defended against Supermutant atrack. Supermutants were following a former BoS Paladin, and he was working with Supermutant Scientist to cure Supermutant sterility. The Warrior sparing the Supermutant Scientist gave Supermutants a new calling and mission their species required. Overall, Fallout Tactics followed the old lore quite well. While adding vehicles to aid in transportation. Something that is not out of place as you get a car in Fallout 2 and there's auto mechanics. Because Fallout takes place after the apocalypse. From our own history, we rediscovered technology and knowledge after every collapse of civilization.

Midwest is best and I believe they’d have made Elder Lyons proud. I’d have loved for Maxson to try and takeover the Midwest chapter, but be driven back by just how well they work with the death claws, ghouls and super mutants. Sure, he’s got an airship, vertibirds and soldiers in t-60 power armor, but the Midwest chapter has variations of x-01 power armor, their mutant allies and land vehicles. Maxson’s units can hold air superiority for only so long before they have to make ground, and when they do, they’d get stomped deep into the dirt.

Maxson also has Liberty Prime tho. And every BoS member under Maxson is issued laser weaponry, with the exclusion of miniguns. In the Midwest, soldiers were provided with inferior weaponry, and only a few had PA.

Finally, the best Brotherhood in all of the Brotherhood of Steel chapters.

Well my favorite chapter of the brotherhood of steel is the east coast chapter my second favorite chapter is the Midwest chapter because of power armor and how they let ghouls, supermutants and deathclaws join there ranks

My fav BoS chapter. Always were canon though details not so... clear. However I do wish Bethesda someday make the " Destroy Calculator ending the solidified true canon ending. The Good reputation, donor brain is TOO utopian, while the bad rep is just too vile to be taken seriously. We alrefy have the Enclave and possibly the Maxons BoS to act as total douchebags in power armor etc. Hope to see the MW BoS in their full glorious power armors, companionship and customs in future various Fallout game content and the Fallout show🤝🤘🫶

It's nice that they actually do get some love nowadays Maximus in the Series has the same name as the Leader of the Dagger Squad that assits the Warrior in taking Vault 0 and the brotherhood ends up having cold fusion at it's fingertips remember there we're plans for Simon Barnaky's ending to be cannon with a sequel being planned so it's nice that the series tries something in that direction but yeah destroying the calculator is the only canon ending that I can think of no brain donation!. I also love their power armor my headcanon is that they just like the enclave had at least some X-01 power armor to make their own version and the resemblance to the advanced power armor mark 2 and hellfire power armor of the enclave is definetly not a coincidence since they can pretty much end up like them in the bad endings!

I hope we see the Midwest BoS soon, because they could very well be the strongest BoS faction in the entire wasteland.

I think an interesting alternate history New Vegas has the Midwest brotherhood replace the legion as the faction fighting the NCR. Maybe because of House and The Strip or just a second phase of the NCR-Brotherhood war. Either way it would be cool

Great to see another video from you, especially since its about the Midwestern Brotherhood. Easily one of my favorite factions for many reasons. Love their aesthetic, morally grey actions, mutants in their ranks, etc. I hope they appear in their Tactics form in a later Fallout game even if briefly. A mod for New Vegas called Tales of New Reno 2 adds them as a joinable faction in a new worldspace if anyone wants to see them in 3D battling the Legion in Utah. Btw I love the vids, I can't put my finger on it exactly but the way you explain things makes things a lot more interesting/engaging than some other Fallout lore channels. Your hella under-rated. Would you ever consider covering modded lore at some point? I'm talking stuff like the Someguy series or some other big story mods that have or will be released. I havent seen anyone else do it and it may be a way to find more interesting topics to cover if you ever need to even if its not offical lore.

I might someday! I played a few of the massive Fallout story mods and wasn’t impressed with them sadly. I’m waiting to find one with a compelling story and rich game world. Do you have any recommendations?

@@theneocypher Yeah I got a lot I can mention. It's all personal preference at the end of the day but I think many of these definitely had good moments/ideas. The 3D NPC mods for 3, NV, and 4 have a bunch of interesting side quests some of which were decently long. For Fallout 4 some good ones are Vault 4, Old Time Religion (Great mix of lore from across almost every game), the CSEP series of mods, the Sim Settlements Trilogy, America Rising 2, and Fens sheriff Department are all decently lore friendly and well received outside of Fens which is more divisive. I’d avoid the Thuggy Smurf mods if you want to cover lore friendly mods even if they are the most downloaded. For Fallout NV/ Tale of Two Wastelands I’d recommend some parts of New California and the Frontier with the latter getting a rework soon to make it more lore friendly. They both have some good ideas with some bad execution here and there. I’ll list off many more without much detail in order to save time. Scouring the mod pages may give you a better idea on if they're worth a shot. Race to the Bottom (You should really check this one out probably the best of all of these), Havasu Blues (Set in Arizona), Beyond Boulder Dome (Starts out rough but improves with time), Working on a Chain Gang (Expands Powder Gangers), Salt Lake Stories (Very Classic Fallout-esque), Rebuild the Capital (Great for Lyons Brotherhood Lore), The Someguy and Th3 Overseer mod series (which both improve with time), Tales of New Reno Episode 1, and 2 (New Lore for Reno Mobs and Midwestern BOS in 2nd), Special Delivery Vault 54, Washington’s Malevolence, Raiders of the Capital Wasteland, Into the Deep, Cabots Quest, For the Enclave, Deaths Last Whisper/Of Truth and Lies (Weird but worth a mention), Alton Illinois, and New Vegas Railroads. Fair warning all of the later ones aren't as big as lets say the Frontier but I thought I'd mention them anyway.

Great video although one thing I do want to point out is that power armor within the Midwest Brotherhood is restricted to the rank of paladin and higher and must be purchased. Also the Midwest Brotherhood makes use of its own currency.

I would definitely like to see a newer version of the Brotherhood from the Midwest with having ghouls super mutants. It'd be like a newer version from Fallout Brotherhood that was on the PS2. My character basically works with whoever can help him out too what's the NCR the Brotherhood and The Enclave mostly just working with weapons and supplies

Honestly, The Fallout show would have been better if it had taken place in the Midwest. the Midwest BOS seems to have all the inclusivity and DEI bs that Amazon seems to love. Why didnt they think to make the show there? Add some new lore or verify existing lore to the Midwest BOS while they're at it.

Nope. None of the BoS chapters have that goal. Enclave wants to get rid of mutation. BoS wants to gather tech to help humanity (although the definition of "help humanity" seems to change between chapter)

@@spiffygonzales5160 F3 the DC BoS are constantly skirmishing with supermutants. . Take pot shots at the ghouls coming and going from Underworld . Willow guarding Underworld entrance literally tells you that if you approach her. There are no mutants or ghouls in Mojave chapter or D.C chapter. None even in the citadel or accepted by the more humanitarian Lyons D.C chapter. The BoS guards outside citadel shoot supermutants on sight. Maxson hates supermutants . Your first mission with BoS Maxson's Commonwealth chapter , he tasks you with clearing out whole base of supermutants for the bombs cache. And to clear out the supermutants there. Cause Maxson hates supermutants.. . Original BoS chapter chased down as many of " the Unity" supermutants as they could to eradicate them as a threat... So there's that too. Even in this video ,he claims Midwest chapter attack and kill supermutants towards the end of the video?? Stuff is not making sense here?

@@spiffygonzales5160 my reply just got deleted... Seriously. Someone can't handle facts and lore?? Neither DC or Mojave chapters accept supermutants or ghouls. DC chapter are constantly skirmishing with super mutants near Lincoln memorial and at the citadel, and take pot shots at ghouls coming and going from Underworld. Willow tells you when you approach. Your first mission with Maxson's Commonwealth chapter is to clear out all the supermutants from the base nearby. And help retrieve the bombs cache. Maxson makes no secret that he hates supermutants. The original BoS cha sed down as many of "the Unity" as they could to eradicate them as a threat. This is lore and in game yeah. Even in this very video he says Midwest chapter shoot at attack super mutants.

@@colddaze6680 Do you mean accept into their ranks or live and let live? If it's the latter DC BoS definitely do. They fight super mutants because the mutants are trying to kill everyone. And Underworld is literally on the front lines, of BoS wanted them dead they'd be dead. Most likely what it is, is that BoS see a ghoul and shoot because they don't have the time to tell wether it's feral or not

I can assure you I haven’t deleted anything. Keep in mind that Tactics precedes all of the Bethesda Fallouts, and is considered (for now) a non canon entry into the series, and as such cannot be directly correlated to the BOS lore in their games. There are also several factions of super mutants in the game, one of which is the primary antagonist until the calculator is introduced. The deathclaws are also intelligent like those found in Vault 13 in Fallout 2, so yes a deathclaw reaching a high rank someday is entirely possible. Throughout the course of the game, you start with an entirely human squad, and over time can recruit units that are mutant, ghoul, robot and deathclaw as you unlock them through the plot. If you haven’t played tactics yet, I highly recommend it.
