Hi Paul. I hope you get to see this. Just like to say a Massive THANK YOU! Just got a 773 from killer ink. Came with the brother power. Got it working via WiFi via my phone, using Brother software. First go a printing DISASTER! Paper jam, just horrible. Watched this, plugged in an old hard drive power supply(12v2amp) next print, perfect! This has saved my a huge headache and troubling killer ink with my issues. You sorted everything out here. There is actually a setting if you look in one of the settings apps from their driver page - you have to be on updated firmware - for stencil mode and slower speeds. That worked for me a lot better than the 12v.

It was frustrating me for soooo long. I just wanted to give him back i called to brother today. I would send him back to fix him because I have waranty. And i would have probably buyed the same one for the time that I have no printer so i can keep on working. Also because I didn't find any other good stencil printer.. I just found a 12V supplier from a beer light. Maannnn, the designs I tried and always jammed.. They go through now! A bit slow but it prints without jamming! Wow man, thanks!! Really saved me

I am in Canada and on Amazon there is a 3 to 24 V dc variable output power supply with a bundle of 14 different output plugs and polarity inversion adapter. Usable rotary switch output compatible values for Brother PJ-XXX Printer series are 10-12-14 Vdc @ 3 A and there is a big LED voltmeter on it. It should be very easy to choose a value corresponding to your preferred or future stencil paper choice.

@@ThatTattooShow Brother has a firmware update software where there is an option that you can mark your printer as a "STENCIL PRINTER". I did this several times on 600 and 700 series. My latest try was on a PJ 773 Wifi version and I use it with a 5 amp adapter which is stronger than the original one. After updating, my printer works perfectly!

As the matter of fact.. all you should use is not the cables, but the settings themselves. Open printing options and try to experiment with the setting which is called “density”. As far as I remember it has scale from 1 to 10. Bigger the number - more aggressive the printer is. For a couple of years I’ve been using 3-4 number and I was totally fine. But.. that firmware update could also help. Didn’t know that.. so thanks for sharing useful information 👊🏻

Overpriced stencil printers imo, I have a 763 and the stencil mode is complete jackshit as it barely prints anything, and guess what, I have the stronger adapter which should give it more power I just end up printing without stencil mode or using a chinese 150 dollars printer Yes brother is still good for crisp lines, but anything other than that is complete complicated jackshit

Drag your cheap printer around the world for 10 years where it MUST work everytime and never fail EVER and let me know how you get on. I doubt that any of the brother copies on the market will last more than a year. As for it barely printing anything? I can print ANYTHING on it and I never have a problem with my stencils. It’s just like learning to tube coil machines. You have to understand it and work with it. It will print whatever you need it to with a little practice and it will never let you down. - p

It's not about any learning curve I have maximum settings on density ( 10 ), dither or binary, once I choose the stencil mode it won't print anything. There is nothing to learn there, so I use it normal mode. When a device with a dedicated mode fails on that mode, it clearly says a message about how much thought they put into it. Could be just my machine, obviously, but it's not like I'm gonna pay for another one to find out @@ThatTattooShow
