The Dobro is a unique and beautiful instrument and the mastery of it gives peace to all who hear it. This is very well done.

Would anyone know what tuning he is playing in? Guessing open G (GBDGBD) but would love confirmation

I can’t remember but I think he tuned to open A since he used a 12 fret dobro. Also it’s due to his string gauges

He always tuned to the G configuration but 2 frets higher which would be open A and His Dobro was a 6 string, I know because He let Me play It.

My dad (Buz Butler), was good friends with Os. My dad played his dobro in his dressing room after a show in Flint Michigan in 1964. My dad was the first to record Mule Train for Decca in 47. I think him and Os worked together for a time in Buick in Flint.@@generallee450
