Thank you for making my new Brother sewing a joy to use. Your video is really good for someone who is learning how to use a PS700.

You are very welcome. It really is a nice machine and I am glad I could help you learn to love it.
Thank-you sew much!!😁 I literally purchased this machine today as a birthday gift for myself with money I had saved up and got for my birthday.🥳 I have only ever had hand me down machines and goodwill machines before this. You saved me about $50 in class fees by sharing this video. Will definitely be watching it more than once. Very much appreciated!❤️

I'm glad. Happy sewing!
I!m 75 yrs old starter sewing with my wife yrs ago when she was making doll dress and mash during this pandemic thank you very much
Love this video. Have had my machine for about 4 years and actually regretted buying anything new because I haven’t been able to do so many things using the manual. So thank you for your time and very clear instruction.

I am so glad I could help.
I am getting a ps700 and I am glad you have an instructional video for it. I would love to see more.
Great video. Wished I had found this 3 months ago. I’ve learned so much about my PS 700 machine

Please do more Brother lessons. Your videos are so useful! There do not seem to be any instructional videos like your’s on the VQ300. I am a quilter and always looking for ways to take advantage of all the options within my Dreamweaver. I don’t use a tenth of my machine’s potential.

Very helpful video, learned a few more things that were missed in my usage class, thanks!
Thank you so much! The manuals are not very helpful and no in person classes right now. So nice to find this!

You are welcome. If you have questions feel free to message me.
I purchased my Brother BQ1350 about a year ago and really haven't used it. I'm a visual learner and the manual just didn't help me much. I learned so much from this video (even though it's a different machine). I believe I'll be able to switch from my Juki straight stitch semi-industrial machine now and really hum with this. Thank you so much. I'm excited to run with this baby now.

I had an old Mong Ward one for 20 plus years before I bought my Brother. Most of the stitches I show on the other machines are on your machine, but I will do more on the P.S. machines when I can.
Merci. C'était très instructif.
Thank you for taking time to put together this video. I'm borrowing a brother machine and looking into buying the one you are using. Very well done video

You are very welcome. I hope you buy the machine. I love the brother machines.
Love this video! Question: How do you know how to line up a button hole? I never get them started in the right place. Could you do a tutorial on sewing a line of button holes on a shirt?

I have a PS700 and this video is the best!! Can yoga tell me if I can do lower case letters?

Unfortunately the ps 700 only has upper case letters
Enchanting Rose: Good video for Electronic machines but do you have anything on Basic Household Mechanical Machines like my Brother ST371HD I just bought for Home Use?
@enchantingrosemary8776

I have’nt done anything on mechanical machines. Your machine has the same drop in bobbin case as the one I have in the video, you just have to unscrew the plate to get at it. Tensions work pretty much the same. I should do a video on changing stitches and adjusting length and width on a mechanical machine. 👍 good idea.
Great video! I just bought the ps 700 and was having difficult figuring it out, didn’t get much help from the seller. How did take the top off? I want to take my off. Thank you

I am not sure what you mean by top. The lid at the very top of the machine is open on the video but you can remove it by squeezing the part in the middle where it connects. It is not easy because I am always afraid it will break but you can and there are vertical spool pins you can buy to snap on there.
Does your machine make a loud grinding noise while it's calibrating after you turn it on? Also, I was told not to blow or use can air to clean a machine. They said when you blow or use air you're blowing fuzz from the thread onto the oil causing it to stick.

It is loud when it calibrates but not a grinding sound. I would have that looked at. As for the canned air, I have been selling and teaching on machines for over 20 years and although I have heard things like that I assure you canned air is what sewing machine experts recommend. It blows out the bobbin area and the repair tech can clean the inside when you bring it in for your annual service. Regardless of how you clean your machine you will get fluff inside of it and it needs to be cleaned by a technician regularly.
Does this machine have a handle? or an inset on the back like on other Brother machines?
@enchantingrosemary8776

Only the entry level brothers have an inset on the back. As the machines get bigger and heavier they all have handles.
Still having trouble using auto needle thread.

Make sure the needle is in the up position by pushing the needle up button not turning the fly wheel. Maybe that will help. Do you have a dealer near you who could give you some help?
What is a wing needle
@enchantingrosemary8776
Жыл бұрын
It is a needle with small wings on either side that causes certain stitches in your machine to create holes in the fabric. Sometimes the needle is called an heirloom needle or a hem stitch needle. They would carry them wherever they sell machine needle.
Thread comes out below out the needle not from the top. Oops 😊
@enchantingrosemary8776
Жыл бұрын
I am not sure exactly what is happening there. Try retreading making sure the thread is in the take up lever and in the tension disks.
I’m struggling to thread, because it’s not catching on anything at loop 4/5.
@enchantingrosemary8776
Жыл бұрын
Make sure the take up lever is at it’s highest point by hitting your needle up button if you have one. Pull the thread up and to the right at the top and then to the left and it should drop into the take up lever. On most machines you can look into the space and see if it is in the take up lever.
The needle threader seems confusing

I am sorry. The brother needle threader is really quite easy compared to some.
