@@blueknight8700 it's a reference to the story of David and Goliath. Goliath is huge and powerful, David is just a little tiny boy. UnitedStatians do not realize, do not know that the USA, Inc. is a veritable Police State---most funded policing Statehood---as there is absolutely no nation/no Statehood as this here low-consciousness planet that has SO SO many levels or layers of policing [which requires TAX money; being one of the salient we are taxed so much with MINIMAL social-net services in RETURN]. THERE IS NO OTHER nation on this planet that has/that can AFFORD: a village police, then a city police then a county/parish police [our beloved sheriffs (of Nottingham)], then State police, then State militia, then US Marshals, then the FBI [.......& Domestic depts. of the truly Machiavellian agencies-- CIA, NSA, etc.], and then the US MILITARY. 14 years and this still impacts!!
One of my go to tracks when I feel aimless in my directives for my shit. All we can do is keep speaking about this truth until we finally all on the same page.
10 years later lyrics are just as powerful, truly amazing work.
Brother Ali was interviewed for the book series, *HOW TO RAP* and *HOW TO RAP2*, and shared his rapping techniques. Here he talks about writing political songs. "Even my political songs and stuff, they’re all personal-I’m not doing them to raise awareness. If that does happen, then that’s cool, that’s great, but I’m not making these songs with the idea that I’m gonna change the world with these songs- I’m gonna express myself with these songs."
Everything he said in this song is historical.
Honestly one of my favorite songs of all time
this song speaks so much truth and the beat is cold.
Immortal Technique never told me he had a cousin.
