Brother Ali “Ottomans” DITL Video
Музыка
Features on the Love & Service album are ridiculous. Roc Marciano, Aesop Rock and Quelle Chis all BLESSED us. But the one who steals the show is Casual on “Manik”. CD’s are SOLD OUT so DON’T MISS the DELUXE VINYL
The Love & Service album was abandoned by distributors, silenced by media and shadow-banned on socials. We dropped it on streaming platforms and YO U ran it up to a million in a few days. It’s now on bandcamp, and vinyl is still available at brotherali.com Much love and many thanks!
This video was produced, shot & edited by Joel Moriasi

How you continue to produce music of such gravitas and poignancy baffles me. It's a God given gift that you've made a blessing to the world, brother. And while I don’t think any video could ever fully capture the beauty of the ‘bul-this gets pretty damn close! Peace, love and a big ol' hug brother. Kendine cok iyi bak!!

Vapur rides from his home in Karakoy, To da' land of da' blessed heathens n Kadikoy, My man moved to Istanbul, and gave us an eyeful! Been listening to you since 93', nah from 2003' and now till infinity. I've never been one to comment on music, even music I adore, but your message of meaning, of justice, of hope captured my sojourning heart, my dude. It resonated deeply back in '03, and is still with me.

Fell in love with the message in your music in 2007 while I was a hurting and lost "intellectual" campaigning for climate justice. I would later move to Istanbul, a place I called home for more than a decade (2012-2023). Upon my return, I was blessed to see you for the first time on my birthday (12/21) at a tiny venue in Solana Beach and heard his wife was in Istanbul. I wanted so badly to get backstage as it all felt so serendipitous. Couldn’t that night, but I hope to one day!!
Sick video too!!

I recently wrote this poem/rap after listening to your song "the collapse" You sell bombs by the billions bringing pain and suffering to children A "holy land" you're building on the mass graves you’re filling And it's all just so you can make a killing And that's why I refer to you as the villain And I know you'd might prefer it if I just sat down and ignored all your sinnin But I cannot ignore all the gore you've been making from civilians All the wars that you have brought to the women And so we must declare that Young America does not agree with your vision Hope you like it.
So...when are you coming back home to tour?

The term "Ottomans" have a different taste in europeans mouths brother... Along with so many other terms from history that no one has a clue about now, and if they had they wouldn't care... Before the haters find something to pick on, I have followed this brother from the age of his diapers...
Is claiming a religion not selfish? Selfishly using "faith" while modern cultures now use "the scientific method"?😮😮😮
@silascybin
27 күн бұрын
I don't know about selfish, but perhaps narrowing your understanding and further solidifying your ego/identity, perhaps. Faith and Scientific Method aren't mutually exclusive though. For instance Hindus Believe all is a dream of a higher being; science corroborates with the big bang (all things coming into being from seemingly nothing, like a dream); all things being energy (energy might be named such but actually be thought or mind stuff); particle entanglement (communication over vast distance, because, in mind, seperation doesn't truly exist) etc and so on...But even Science if faith, because they are forced to ignore the 'hard problem', which is that all experience is within our own mind (so consciousness could be the only thing that exists and this could all be illusion). Dreams can be so real (every sense possible without the use of the sense organs; sight with closed eyes). How can you truly be sure this isn't just a denser, longer form version of what happens when you sleep?..Every belief is faith. We can't truly know anything for sure.
@silascybin
27 күн бұрын
But my faith example was one of non-judgement and equality (all being one, one mind playing all parts, all made of the same substance, no distinction). Some religions are selfish; feeding on suspected duality, like saved and damned, us and them, sinners and saints, chosen and abandoned etc. Those feed the ego (the separate self), they justify harm and judgement, they create opposition and discrimination, they also play on assumptions and rules which create shame and guilt when not lived up to etc. And often times religion is passed down rather than experienced and understood. For me, I've had "spiritual experiences" that gave me faith through direct experience that all things are one and the same (a universal mind). And I don't follow any law, other than all is me and so I stand for love, truth/understanding (oneness and co-operation). Many follow beliefs for selfish reasons (not going to hell, looking good for a God, fitting in with people, conditioning and blind faith etc). So it depends on the faith, the reason, the result and so on.

@@silascybin thats a very selfish thing to say. Why do you assume the wrong things and apply it to what you THINK an athiest thinks? Why don't you learn what an athiest thinks and than apply critical thinking? Why do you selfishly do this? Cmon guy, use "facts" instead of "faith", "faith " will make you do really terrible things and make you think you're being right. Smh
Wonderful track!
