Excellent stuff! Great set of pics and that original music takes me right back. Just seems bizarre that it's there and nothing's going on. It was fantastic in its day.

great video, i think they made an horror film there after it closed called SALVAGE and the opening scene of the film was at southport were the car breaka down oppersite the roundabout near the caravan park.

When I was a kid it frightened the life out of me literary ran out the room crying for my mum. When Greg's daughter got rapped. But now I'm older if they ever bought it back in a different area in Liverpool. I might watch it.

good video! me and a freind went on a mission to find this place....2 hours later at 11pm we found it! back in febuary when it was freezing cold! it was so sad.... to see the close empty although it didnt look as neat as it does on your videos :( work to kep the houses in good condition seems to have stopped.

Still a chance they will bring it back as it was best soap ever.

Yes i did it. it also come straight up when you type it in on google earth to. i'm going for a trip there when the warm weather comes. should be good.

Manor Park was fictional. It's in West Derby. Anyone can walk into the street now... there's a barrier across the entrace so you can't drive in. There's also a guards hut at the entrace, but they don't seem to stop people from having a walk around the road.

my head is hurtng thinking of something that is on prime time now that puts liverpool on the map but i can't.the concept of filming in actual purpose built houses is still ahead of its time. emmerdale has its set at harewood house estate nr leeds but only some of the interiors are actually filmed there but the rest being back in leeds. Must say look back in fondness at brooksides height in the 80s th early 90s

Wow, I'm really surprised the houses didn't sell. Do you know if anyone's bought them now? I loved Brookie in the 80s, but thought it went gradually downhill after that.

i thought the set was demolished, cant believe its still there, it looks so sad.

Doesn't look in too bad of a state here. I guess Hollyoaks had not long finished with it. There's some later pics from the abandoned years where it's in a very bad state.

They look quite nice on the outside now they've had some work done on them. The council just need to do SOMETHING about the grass and weeds etc.

the aussie soap neighbours is filmed in a real street,why didnt they do the same with brookie that way those lovely homes would still have people in them instead they are going to rot.p.s my uncle was nicknames jimmy corkhill because he once collected for charity and then went to the pub and spent it all .lol sadly he`s no longer with us!!!!!! nither is jimmy corkhill

it was sold real cheap, i bet housing association bought it out and moved all the chavs in, you should see a 2011 update of it , a right dump lol but still posh for that region

The owner only plans to let them out but latest news is he has run out of money. Work has ground to a halt sadly. Seems the close isnt meant to be lived in.... really hope it gets finished as all the pavement is dug up and parts of the houses have no roof. I was going to buy the flats which back on to the set used by writers and directors by the security lodge.

if theyve sold all the houses then thats it finished. R.I.P
