Brooklyn's Last Seltzer Men | I Got a Guy | Bon Appétit
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A century ago, New Yorkers got their fizzy water from the thousands of seltzer men that delivered to the five boroughs. Alex Gomberg is a fourth generation seltzer man and, as Brooklyn's youngest, he's trying to keep the business alive.
Locations: Gomberg Seltzer Works, Cotter Barber, Juliana's, Fresh Kills

I know this isn't why they are in business, but this is an ecologically sound way of drinking sparkling water. Locally sourced & bottled, low transportation, recycled bottles, no plastic.

True. I am so sick of plastic. Now even underwear, shirts, etc... are made of plastic or something similar bc it's cheaper for the corporations and increases their profit margin. Meanwhile all those plastics bleach into rivers, oceans and our water supply.

This broke my heart. As a kid, I remember going to my grandfather's deli in Central Islip and helping him sweep up in the summers. And 3 times a week, he would get his seltzer water for the neighborhood kids to have fizzies. I miss that man so much, he was an amazing grandfather, and the people who brought the seltzer always were too. Thanks for bringing back memories of the good times.

I love it with a lime, not to mention for the best cocktails. But, I’ve never had good, REAL seltzer like this. I would definitely get home delivery if I could. Instead, I have my own filler and it looses pressure, just like he said. Great video guys, keep it going !

I grew up drinking seltzer. I remember the Egg Cream and Pizza. I would most DEFINITELY love to start a Seltzer delivery Company in Puerto Rico. I use to live in Williamsburg Brooklyn and Princes Bay on Staten Island. Seltzer with a Bagel and Lox with Cream Cheese and red Onions and Coleslaw and the famous Knishes with Mustard washed down with a nice cold glass of Seltzer (too young for drinking beer) was the bomb. I am extremely happy that they have their Seltzer business still up and running. I will most DEFINITELY look them up for some Seltzer when I visit New York. My Junior High school was on Graham Avenue and Ten Eyck Walk. My Butcher was on Graham Avenue and Withers Street. These guys bring back such fond childhood memories.
