The "Anonymous Gift" Cold Open is one of my favorites. Just the fact that Jake is the sarcastic straight man and Amy is the one that didn't think it over for once is a fun role reversal.

Read this comment whilst watching this scene - so true. And the fact that everyone else acted exactly in character (like Holt and Rosa for example) makes it even better - it's not a glitch in the matrix, just a slippin' Amy and a socially smart Jake for a change 😂

“Where’s the buckle, Santiago” is one of my all time favorite Holt moments. His demand for accuracy and excellence even in a Thanksgiving crafting art project that we would have been doing in elementary school 😂

It’s really one of the earliest moments where the squad seems like a real squad that has a lot of history, and it's so early in season one! I love how such a small, funny moment can really establish the whole vibe of the 99, especially when it's at a point in the show where the viewers are just getting to know the characters. I love it so much 😭❤

“Happy Thanksgiving, your apartment was very easy to locate” 😂😂😂

The “This is what happens when you’re naughty” cold opening is hilarious and would be a better lesson for kids than saying they’d just get coal for being naughty.😉🤣 Also, that whole inflatable tree scene was chaotic and I love it.😊😂❤
