Please forgive my ignorance here. Are Oxford Brookes men’s 1st eight generally considered better than Oxford’s 1st eight? In the Henley videos I’ve seen Brookes seem very strong.

Oxford Brookes is known as the strongest University rowing club in the UK. Over the past few years, they've usually beaten Oxford and Cambridge. So could could definitely say that they are generally stronger than Oxford's Blue Boat (in these matches).

@@kobehabtie1795 No he caught a crab. The water was choppy. Sometimes when you feather and release the blade from the water, it gets stuck. We call it catching a crab.

Fantastic racing in terrible conditions between two very good crews. What happens to the OUBC bow man at 14:26? Is he hit by a big wave? The Middlesex station seems to have it slightly worse in each race.

@@simonjones8542 unusual to happen twice in such a short space of time but not unheard of, especially in such dodgy conditions. Dodgy conditions can lead to blade slippage which can cause slipping off the seat (if your blade isn't as covered as you expect and you out all your weight onto the handle you'll slip)

Simon Jones it happened to me as well a few days ago. When you are rating high and pushing hard in these conditions, it can be very hard to actually push through the water, so when you cant get through the water, you can easily fall of your seat.

Harry stays on the line, if the waves are "marginal" for him, they are more marginal for OUBC! It is what CUBC would have done in the circumstances.
