Brooke Shields narrates a special “Life in Looks” marking the centennial of Richard Avedon’s birth. Watch as Brooke takes a deep dive on some of Richard's most iconic photos, including her very own historic Calvin Klein ad and classic images of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe.

Best Life in Looks/Vogue episode and commentary. Brooke Shields is a phenomena. Not only is she beautiful and tall but highly intelligent and perceptive.
As a life long photographer, I grew up with pictures like these. Avedon was surely one of the best. We studied his lighting techniques and applied them to the model shoots that we did in the Chicago studio. We printed 11x14 b&w prints for the models. We developed and printed them ourselves. Brooke was always a favorite. I certainly watched her film Pretty Baby. Thank you for this video. Brooke is so articulate and I appreciate her commentary.

My husband met her at Pinecastle and escorted her - her mother was along and was socializing with military friends. Brooke was very humble and shy - lovely girl. ❤️ V🌹

Brooke’s life experiences could have ‘ruined’ her, but she is such a wonderful, intelligent, bubbly woman. I really enjoyed her docu-series, as infuriating as it was!

Her documentary “pretty baby” was so eye opening, being so incredibly beautiful at such a young age was clearly a burden in the end- I am glad she was able to get her story out there. Beauty aside she seems like a lovely lovely woman.

I remember a photo of Brooke dressed in a silver outfit sitting on a silver motorcycle. It was beautiful! But I haven't been able to find it. I wish I could see it again. My early career was as an art director, setting up and directing fashion photo shoots, so I fondly remember Brooke and the photos taken of her. And Avedon was the best!

She truly is rare and one of a kind, a face that comes around every 20 yrs, I haven't seen a beauty like her after herself, Hollywood hasn't had a drop dead gorgeous leading lady like her and the likes of Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, or Charlize Theron, today Hollywood is filled with nepo babies or insta models.
