I cried when I watched her movie. It brought back the memory of my son's stroke when he was only 5 years old and I gave up my nursing career to take care of him. I could see myself in Brookes's mother helping my son at Kentucky University. What a loving mother. My son graduated from high school and college despite his cognitive difficulties. Miracle do happen.

Yes, but I have a feeling that if Brooke’s accident occurred in modern times (the 2010s), she might have had a better chance of gaining some recovery to use her hands and maybe walk (even if it’s with the help of a walking stick). In 1991 (when she became paralyzed), the advanced treatment and technology didn’t exist and we came a long way since then.

I have end stage ALS and on a ventilator, you are truly an inspiration for me to continue fighting the good fight, Blessings,

But I feel like the nurses could have done a better job at encouraging her family to consider therapy treatments to help her gain at least some sort of recovery. Like the ability to use her hands and breathe on her own. I’ve seen the movie and I feel like they were too quick to give up and say, “She’ll be this way the rest of her life”.

she looks like my cousin. My Cousin Zach was hit by a car along with my other cousins and my uncle. Zach was 4 and asleep by the time the car hit their car. Instantly my cousin was paralyzed. My other cousins and uncle were not hurt to badly. My aunt is writing about the day that happened idk wat it is called but its a good book.

I feel Harvard should not have given her everything and for her to talk to that guy about she has a talented young I thought it was disgusting she should have never talked to a guy like that he was wanting to be friends that's it. I think her mom should have never gave her hope about a man no one would ever to commit to being married that's the truth

I dont understand why did she not speak about her dad at the day of the speech her dad took the responsibility of all the Bill's,Family I thought she was rude and selfish.
