I have an FF #95 and an Action Comics #235, both with double covers. Like your Superman, both interior covers are 9.2. Gotta love the double covers!

Great video. Affordable entries (low-to-mid-grades) into some major Bronze Age keys. Great way to layer in the PC without bruising the bank account. Hope to see them up for claim soon!

There will be very high grade FFs from the 100s in tomorrow’s sale. I’m not sure if there is a 104, I have a huge stack to get through yet. Burning the midnight oil! You should hop on tomorrow!

Dave back in 1983 bought Uncanny XMen #94 for $60.00 Canadian from a lab guy never pressed got a 8.0 cgc. Tried to buy ASM#77 but dealer said was 6.5; wouldn’t wait till next day for me to pay the $100.00 Canadian he wanted. Put it up aunctions and got $150.00. Over street has a 6.5 for $50.00 in the guide. Had I bought it would I have overpaid. ASM #100 8.5 got $300.00 Canadian. I just wanted #77 to remind me as my mom bought years ago for me.

That shogun 9.8 looks like the cover is off center on the top spine

Being well centered isn’t a criteria for 9.8. Some people (me included) try to avoid those if possible, because we are picky.

@futurepastvintagecollectables so it would have to be above 9.8 for centering, or they ignore that all together? I am just curious. I am not into slabs, but I would think centering of the cover would be an important criteria

Probably just paper behind the first cover and a stiffer board behind the second (front and back). I have done it like that before. It becomes tricky on a triple cover.
