Broner vs Garcia FULL FIGHT: July 29, 2017 - PBC on Showtime

Спорт

(July 29, 2017) Head tilted slightly downward and eyes focused forward, Mikey Garcia seemingly saw nothing other than the obstacle in front of him: Adrien Broner.
Mikey Garcia impressively earned a unanimous decision over Adrien Broner in a 140-pound clash of multi-division world champions on July 29, 2017 on PBC on Showtime.
Moving up in weight to face “The Problem,” Garcia remained in constant control of their 140-pound showdown, turning in a dominating performance to earn a unanimous decision before a crowd of 12,084 at Barclays Center.
With his victory over Broner, a former four-division world champion, Garcia further elevated his status as one of the world’s best pound-for-pound fighters.
Garcia, a three-division world champion and current 135-pound titleholder, landed 244 of 783 total punches (31 percent) to Broner’s 125 of 400 (31 percent. His edge was even more apparent in power punches, with Garcia connecting on 152 of 328 (46 percent) and Broner landing 72 of 161 (45 percent).
The 29-year-old Southern California native calmly dictated the distance between himself and Broner, and stayed in his opponent’s face for almost the entire fight. After a slow first round that Broner won on all three official scorecards, Garcia went to work as he began to pick apart his opponent.
Over the next several rounds, Garcia showed off an impressive arsenal as he used his jab to penetrate Broner’s high guard before slipping shots to the body.
By the latter rounds, it was all but apparent that Broner needed a knockout to win, but even then, Garcia was able to counter the Cincinnati native’s desperate attempts. In the end, Garcia easily prevailed by scores of 117-111 and 116-112 twice.
Garcia, who earned his 135-pound world title in January with a third-round KO of unbeaten champion Dejan Zlaticanin, said he would weigh his options before considering his next fight.
While Garcia has returned to a place among boxing’s elite after returning to the ring a year ago following a contractual dispute that kept him inactive for 30 months, Broner is left to ponder his future after losing for the second time in five fights and for the first time in his career at 140 pounds or less.

Think he means don’t be throwing single shots It’s easier to counter single shots then multiple He should have said don’t throw lazy shots and constantly come in and out off range at a different pace each time throwing combos not single shots to make it hard for mickey to time him

Pacquiao's record of 62-7-2 is 87.32% and 89.86% without 2 draws. Mickey hasn't won a significant fight. He screwed up his only chance but Bronner did it. A person can get shot and say their not hurt. It's called adrenaline. In a fight you're never really "hurt" but everyone can see when a punch is effective. Blocked or not. Now after everyone goes home and the adrenaline wears off that's when the real pain sets in. Lol.

Naw he hits hard he just doesn't hit. When Broner went to Mikey body he curled Mikey. Broner is a fighter who doesn't realize what he has. Broner should be an inside fighter who focuses on the body. His physical dimensions are perfect for a more mexican style of boxing. He doesn't have the gas to be elusive. And he doesn't trust his own chin. Bro you finished the Maidana fight after being knocked down twice. You're not getting stopped. Start trusting your chin and throwing your hands.

I liked the 8th as far as form and letting them go banging on the inside. I agree though... He's fast, But too much wasted time that's not invested in a real download like a Floyd, Loma, or Crawford... Danny G. is an effective counter puncher, Broner should have been a Boxer/Fighter carve out imo. He's always been in Floyd's shadow imo, I get the trash talk and bravado during the lead up, but Broner had to catch the mouse? Who ran? imo he never fought to win, he attempts to be Money Mayweather w/ forgetting Pretty Boy Floyd... (+ the unmatched skill...) I try to look at the fighter only, but man he gets on my nerves, and he has it all... If $ was all he cared about he wouldn't be so angry after his losses feel me? *BUT that's the reason Floyd's next prodigy... would come from Baltimore, and have true power... to avoid all the weight jumps etc... We don't get a Tank Davis, w/o an AB as far as Leonard Ellerbe and Floyd go.

He actually does once he’s touched up beyond his slickness. At that point he attempts to hold while becoming even less offensive.

AB is a good boxer... just that, after Maidana had his way with him, something snapped in him and he hasn't been the same anymore. It's like he became too defensive and he's become too afraid to commit.

It looks easy when you watch from the outside but when you are in there it’s so sketchy. Both fighters are in an elite class. 💯💯

Facts brother 💯 🙏 there's to many undisputed Internet champions judging boxers I'd love to see any of them even last 2 rounds sparring with Ab he deffo has elite skills he's just worrying to much about the counter it's sad man cause he'd still beat most of these guys today just waits to long to let his hands go man frustrating when you know how good he is
