Growing up in B.C. and being a part of the snowboarding community for 27 years now I can say I've never been so proud and greatful watching a contest. This natural selection tour is the most effective COMUNICATION of what snowboarding is. It highlights the relationship we have with the mountains and the relationship the mountains have with earth. These are the most beautiful expressions a rider can convey and how they ride shows thier commitment and ability to flow in the world of backcountry.

Why didn't you play all three runs from every rider. I understand you want sensational images but showcasing the struggle outside of close calls would REALLY SHOW what backcountry snowboarding is about. Rasman killed it. I knew he won from his only run played.

When does the talking stop and the riding start?

I SKI ALL YEAR using rollerblades with polls/hiking-sticks with rubberball on the end: this allows cross-country/good exercise going up hill, skating on the flats, and then slalom downhill. AND WHAT WAS APPARENT to me before starting was to study the way I *could* fall, and have all the protective gear needed to prevent injury, eg BMX type helmut PROTECTING face, pads at knees, elbows, and wrists, motorcycle chest protector, AND HIP style hockey-pads. FYI there are 2 primary falls on pavement (if/as you avoid cars): going down onto the pavement, and sliding on it, and hence the pads need plastic over the cushion part. NOW THE GUY HURTING HIS TAILBONE: ARE THEY STUDYING WHAT'S GOOD PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, EG WHY NOT WEAR A BACKPACK WITH SHOCK-ABSORBING MATERIAL INSIDE, AS I THINK (SOME) RIDERS DID IN THE PREVIOUS NAT-SEL EVENT?

I don’t understand why you only mention sponsors in rider bios that contributed to the event. It is not cool at all. Just name the board sponsor.

I always find it funny that these athletes (particularly skiers and snowboarders) who live extremely healthy lives, eat healthy, exercise regularly are sponsored one of the worst things you can put into your body (Red Bull).
