I am using the previous Cateye 400 model, which is smaller and neater. The output is 400 lumens instead of 500, but is more than adequate. In fact, I only use full 400 output when riding on roads that are made dark in the wet ... (riding in the rain is something I try to avoid!)

Ahhh that makes sense. I don’t know if that’s the case in Arizona in the states…but I should probably let put one back on somewhere.

It looks like the light is pointing downwards. I wish it was at even and leveled (pointing straight ahead) Is there a way to fix this?

Can you adjust the angle of the light? I like mine to shine well down the road, so drivers can see me coming ...

I have recently fitted one of these lights and my initial impression is that the light is bright enough to dazzle oncoming road users if not suitably angled downwards. It looks as though this can only be done by bending the bracket.

@@eegaugh I just installed a newer version of this light. This one has a slightly different mount. I was able to adjust the beam. Easy to do. Works great! Thanks for the review and explainer ...
