This was a great project! Also, please tell me what you are saying at about 2:03 - it sound like ground peppers and I think that's what the CC has also, but I don't think that's what you are saying. Thanks in advance for your reply. (P.S. Safety glasses might be a good thing to have when you break the pot with a hammer.)

I guess you could fill the pots with anything if you want to. They might need some soil to maintain the basic structure. But we think the plants are the most important part!

Hi, Sarah, does this garden last long? I mean, I want to make one, but I've heard that they are projects, and last for some time, only. :( Is that true? Thank you!

Do you find that within a few days the succulents lose their original colour and start to look a dry pinkish colour? This is what I find when I plant succulents in terracotta pots. Plant them in plastic and they have a lush fresh green look however when succulents like Aloe vera get big they become top heavy and plastic pots aren't heavy enough to keep them stable plus terracotta looks better. Anyone else share my frustration?

Succulents actually like tight spaces. They grow and take over basically any space they are in-especially perennial succulents like we use here. We have had several of these pots and the plants seem to like them! Let us know how yours works out if you build one!
