This was a great video and needs more views! Mark Lawrence is a high priority for me next year.

Feel like I’m finally starting to get into some actual grim dark ;) might have to dive into book two asap

Got recommended this book by a good friend of mine after I got him interested in Berserk. Summed up the main character as a bad guy protagonist that you begin to understand what's got him to that point. Another way to put it, from the Riddick movies: "In normal times, evil would be fought by good. But in times like these, well, it should be fought by another kind of evil." In short, I fucking love this series. Read it twice in a short time frame and finished the books wanting more of the character. I can't recommend it enough, however if you know about Berserk, then know you're gonna be reading about similar things happening to people. That's not for everyone, and that's A Ok. But this is fucking grimdark and god dammit that's why I love it.

I’m pretty surprised this was his first book. Joey is definitely a piece of work haha. I’m looking forward to digging into the series. It’s definitely not feel good but I certainly enjoyed it. Berserk is something else I need to finish I watched the original show and read the manga run back in like 2004-8? I need to dig in now that they plan on finishing it up.
