BROKE EVERYTHING ON THE 73 ROADRUNNER!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Heres all the things that went wrong, first a spark plug wire rattled lose, next the car died 5 times cause of rust in the fuel filter, then it didn't charge then i got it to charge again but amp gauge jumped all over the place cause of lose connection somewhere, then the clutch started getting soft or feel like air was in the system again, and the carb/vacuum leak and the god awful header leak is still a thing so great first proper test drive...

I don't understand why it has Wilwood brakes. Every 73 Charger came with front disk brakes from the factory that were just short of 11 inches (10 3/4 in) for use with 14 inch wheels and you can use factory parts to upgrade to rotors that are just short of 12 inches for the best possible brakes. You need 15 inch wheels for those.

You might want to measure the heads to see if they are cut. There is a certain place to measure and the stock measurements are on line somewhere. But I don't know how to measure the block without taking the engine apart. I hate that guys mill heads and deck the blocks because it hardly helps anything and it makes sealing the intake so much harder.

Cool if you film when things happen, and not just after. Like your cars!

Is that intake for a 4500 Dominator Carb? Is that why it has that tall spacer?? I would look for a shorter spacer adapter. There are no shorter adapters (they are almost always 2 inches tall ) to use a 4500 on a 4150 flange but I think you could have one made that would let you use a 4150 carb like the one you have on a 4500 flange intake. You could just buy a 4500 flange carb. I recommend an original list 4575 1050. Just don't buy one that has been milled. Your current carb is really great for that car and you don't need a bigger one, but a Dominator would look cute. And you are one of the very few guys that has the correct intake for one.

It could be the alternator, or a loose wire, or the votage regulator. Do you have an extra voltage regulator to try?

Hey, any time my car starts, travels, does burn outs, and makes it back without being pushed or towed I call that a win! Just curious if you sprayed any volatile stuff like brake cleaner around to test for vacuum leaks. I've found manifold leaks that way after struggling with carbs and every accessory vacuum line until I was fed up. Learned to do that test early in the process now LOL.
