BROKE DOWN in the middle of NOWHERE
This is a wild ride.. for the first time ever, we decide to drive our bus 5 hours south to seek warmer weather for the winter. We packed up all our belongings into our bus and hit the road, leaving our apartment in Sudbury behind. In this drama packed episode, we break down TWICE on our journey but with perseverance we finally made it to the Niagara Region to finish our build with Steph's family and friends.
Special thanks to our amazing mechanic, Devon, for being our lifeline. Thank you to @JerryArbs for all the drone footage, and Cole for always helping us with all our welding projects!

It wouldn’t have been an adventure without you! You’re the best Devon, we can’t even express how appreciative we are of you for everything you have done for us 💙
We just purchased a 2005 ic ce300 international DT466. It has a ECM box on it. Just like most semi trucks today. The DT466 in a great engine. We do have electronic equipment operating it though. We're in pennsylvania. We want to head to Arizona in 4 months. So we're preparing now. Im most concerned about running issues. Watching you guys breaking down made me feel really sad. Its not what anyone wants. You guys pulled through very well. Dont forget the friends you have there. There worth their weight in Gold. Anyway, please let me know what model year and bus you have. All the best guys😉👍❤
Hope you guys are back on the road...? We need an udpate.
So glad you guys are safe

I glad you made it to Steph parents house. What a bummer the bus broke down 2x. Definitely need to have a mechanic check bus out again. Good luck. 😊

Devon is the GOAT!! Thanks for being here guys! 💙
These vids have to stop being so stressful!! Hopefully the last couple months have gone way smoother and you've been able to get a lot more done on the bus with the somewhat better weather. SO glad that all ended up going OK and nobody decided to stop in the freezing cold and empty your bus for you. 👏👏👏Now let's see some stuff that's been less trauma inducing and has gone well!!! There's got to be some footage like that somewhere!! 🤞🤞🤞

We’re so happy our bus is working good now, hopefully no more stressful mechanical issues in the future 🤞🏻 the weather is so nice in Niagara, about 10 degrees C warmer than in Sudbury. We’re so excited to get more videos out. This summer is gunna be fun!

Oh yes, it’s important to show the good, the bad, and the ugly! We are all in this together 💙 thanks for watching and commenting!
OMG, you guys have luck like us! We flew from Thunder Bay to Vancouver two years ago to buy a 1984 Ford Motorhome sight unseen. If only we had recorded that trip!!! Would have been epic. Every day we had a breakdown. We didn't even get out of the storage lot unscathed. Wouldn't start, no lights, front brakes, rear brakes, rad hoses, heater hoses, water heater caught fire, it just went on and on.....Such a great trip, I wouldn't want to ever undo! OH, the one day we had no issues was the day I got a phone call. My son was out riding his bike at night and was hit by a car......Needed surgery for his leg but was otherwise ok. How we ever made it through that trip......But all you can do is keep moving forward. I previously watched your most recent video, so I know things still aren't going as planned, but good luck to both of you in the future!
Im so happy you guys made it back safe and we finally got to see the bus!!!!! What a wild ride that was 😂

It's times like this during our lives that test us to the limit. That's when you know the calibre of your relationships with friends and family, as together, there is nothing you can't achieve. Well done guy's, part 2 here we come.

Thanks so much Neil. Funny enough I (Stephanie) was so close to making the trip with the bus by myself. I’m so glad I had Adam with me, not only for mechanical support but for emotional support. I would be lying if I said I didn’t cry off camera 😂

You guys 😭 I’m am constantly impressed by you two! I’m so sorry you had to go through this but you definitely made it out the other side stronger than ever 👏🏻 I’m so happy you’re home and somewhere warm(er)! PS. If you figure out how to upgrade your hitch to have it swing out, come do ours next please 🙋♀️

Thank you guys! We definitely feel more confident in our bus now lol! We gotta have a welding party and do our hitches 😎
I'm happy all has worked out well for you folks. Great support from the others. I live in the colder parts of Canada, also. For me it is nice to have info on doing a build in Canada as most are in the USA, and few are in cold climates. Will be checking in on your adventures, ups, downs, all arounds as you go. Smiles for Miles

Thank you! We’re so happy we got everything sorted out. We’re happy we get to share our experience of building a bus/living in cold climates. Like you said, there’s not a lot out there! That’s definitely a reason we decided to replace the stock windows with sheet metal and install dual pane rv windows. Even our water tanks we insulated. All things people might not think about for four seasons living!
Had the same thing happen to my bus!
Wow! That was an emotional roller coaster!! 😬😄 We’re so sorry you had to go through that… But glad you got all the relay stuff figured out! P.S. You guys absolutely KILLED IT with this video. Even in a crisis, your production value is 10/10 😊💚
