Everybody who’s calling Brock an undersized tight end is thinking of him wrong. He’s 90% of Derrick Henry except with great receiving skills. He’s was the biggest height, weight, speed guy who has the ball in his hands week in and week out and he played in the SEC.

I gotta ask Trunk, what was your first initial feelings when the pick was announced? ..... I saw him his freshman year and was amazed. Kept an eye on him ever since. I was pumped immediately when his name was announced as the next Raider!! ...... I had to spend the rest of the evening settling crying Raider fans down. @@00tonytone I agree in terms of the importance of a high end TE in today’s game. They are too big for CBs and too fast for safeties/LBs. Plus the two TE set makes the mismatch even greater. However, I think people who I respect (Connor Rodgers) and I think he believes Bowers is too high to take here. So I don’t know. Maybe Odunze will be available here. Cimini had a great point that Jets could move up to 8 to jump the Bears and draft Odunze there. May be worth it and won’t cost a lot.

Such a great pick people saying we didn’t need him don’t understand what raiders trying to do and plus bowers is a generational talent at tight end. You don’t pass that up at pick 13. This will make Adams and jakoby job easier and Adams won’t be double covered as much then he can play on the line, inside, in the slot, on the outside THEN when they do 2 tight ends sets it’ll open up the passing and rushing attack for the raiders. It was the smartest pick at 13.

I gotta ask Trunk, what was your first initial feelings when the pick was announced? ..... I saw him his freshman year and was amazed. Kept an eye on him ever since. I was pumped immediately when his name was announced as the next Raider!! ...... I had to spend the rest of the evening settling crying Raider fans down. Kept telling them you will be embarrassed of your reaction after you see this kid play.

@@00tonytone I agree in terms of the importance of a high end TE in today’s game. They are too big for CBs and too fast for safeties/LBs. Plus the two TE set makes the mismatch even greater. However, I think people who I respect (Connor Rodgers) and I think he believes Bowers is too high to take here. So I don’t know. Maybe Odunze will be available here. Cimini had a great point that Jets could move up to 8 to jump the Bears and draft Odunze there. May be worth it and won’t cost a lot.
Such a great pick people saying we didn’t need him don’t understand what raiders trying to do and plus bowers is a generational talent at tight end. You don’t pass that up at pick 13. This will make Adams and jakoby job easier and Adams won’t be double covered as much then he can play on the line, inside, in the slot, on the outside THEN when they do 2 tight ends sets it’ll open up the passing and rushing attack for the raiders. It was the smartest pick at 13.
Bennet has a great arm.

Bowers gives not only a great player for 12 personnel, but injury insurance for positions we're thin at. Im not saying Bowers is the only player I want the Lions to take, but damn hes high up there. Kinda use him as a offensive weapon instead of TE like the plan was when we drafted Gibbs. Just use him in all areas of need. Really a PERFECT match.
