Brixham Fishing (1967)

Brixham, Devon.
Several picturesque views of the harbour at Brixham; a man on the quay paints the fishing village. Several shots of fishermen preparing their boats for work, then going out to sea and throw their nets over the side. Commentator tells us the fishermen have formed a co-operative, sharing their nets, boats and catch.
Various shots of the nets being pulled in with a hefty catch of fish in them. Back in the harbour the fish are emptied into baskets and buckets as we hear the fishermen own the marketing side of the operation too. Numerous kinds of fish and crabs are weighed while a crowd stands around the auction yard.

    Do you notice that fishermen don't wear gloves that is how we was taught that these days they won't even make a cup of tea without their gloves on
