nah nah the inconsistent quality is actually part of the Wendy's experience so they nailed it. I'm honestly surprised they got the 1 leaf of lettuce on the chicken sandwich right too. 😂

Ha it’s true though. In the states, Colleagues of mine (flight attendant) say ranch how we would. Servers are like WUTTT? So I tell them just to say it the American way. It feels unnatural but saves awkwardness. And then ripping the piss out of us 😂😂

For those who didn't know (I'm sure most Brits might not know this), the girl in the Wendy's logo is Wendy Thomas. Her father, Dave Thomas, founded Wendy's in 1969 and named the restaurant after her. Dave died in 2002, but Wendy is alive and well, and the restaurant is still owned by the Thomas family. She was born in 1961, and she is Dave's fourth child. Her real name is Melinda, but when she was little, she couldn't pronounce her L's, so she got the nickname "Wendy". Wendy has one daughter, McKenzie, with her first husband, Paul Morse. Wendy and Paul are divorced, and she later remarried.

Also, before Dave died, he only had chocolate frosties because Wendy liked chocolate. I hate chocolate dairy products. I was glad when they started having vanilla frosties (not happy Dave died though).

The quality of Wendy's has gone downhill. At one time, they had put the best fried and grilled chicken sandwiches ever. They changed everything and now it's barely edible. It's a shame that corporations feed people junk and they don't even know that the junk they are eating used to be 1000x better. I believe all of these changes occurred after Dave died or otherwise gave up some of his control. Seriously, I cry thinking how good it used to be, I long to go back to those days.

There’s literally (from my knowledge) only three states in the US that offer veggie burgers in Wendy’s , Ohio, Utah, and South Carolina😂

American who lived in London here. Ranch tastes like what your sour cream & chive sauce is trying to be but doesn't get quite there. Some of the main ingredients in ranch are dill, sour cream & buttermilk.

I love knowing that even Black Britons love fried chicken. Lol. Love from your Black American Brother.

I've never seen a veggie burger on our wendys menu. Our nuggets are way bigger as well in the states. Dave is who started Wendy's and Wendy is his daughter who runs the fast food chain now.

I love watching the Brits taste our food 😊

Me too! I just wish they could have it exactly the way that we have it in the states.

I had patience for a couple of these tasters as much as possible, but as soon as two of them ranked the veggie burger as the highest and the fries as the lowest, I knew they were insane.

“I cannot imagine 3 Daves in me….no, that’s come out so wrong” when I tell y’all I laughed so hard I almost passed out because I couldn’t breathe 🤣🤣🤣

The lady with the locks and the guy were so funny ong🤣🤣

Interesting to see the items each loved the most was so different. I think the spicy chicken had a good showing and deserved its top score.

It needs to be “fresh” to be good! Hot fries dipped into a frosty, bacon cheese fries while the cheese is still melty.. basically any of the chicken while they’re still hot and crispy.

@@chesca7295 in the Netherlands preservatives in candies made here are no longer a thing and same with soda. In the US for instance their Fanta is orange while ours is yellow. Not sure if in the UK your fanta "orange" is yellow but here it is so a lot of foods taste different because they are cutting down on sugars and fat

Lol this was funny to watch in the USA it’s just called chili and either cooked with beans or no beans. Wendy’s is named after the founder’s daughter. They should’ve have the frosty it makes Wendys.

Just curious do they not have a frosty in the UK? To me that and a spicy chicken are the reason to go to Wendy's over another fast food restaurant in Canada

I realized I’m not the only that loves the spices that come in the noodle packs for seasoning 3:12. They need to sell them individually.

Wendys is my current go to fast food and theres a running joke around me about how much I defend it, so this makes me very happy. Glad they enjoyed it hahah

In Jamaica, we may have a different menu, but those things are by FAR not the best items on their menu. As an overweight mf I rate Wendy's a 7.5/10, imo its better a lot of fast food places (intenational chains)

Wendy's have chili packets that can be put into the chili. hey should have offered some of the toppings one usually can get with a chili because rarely does anyone just eat the chili with two crackers lol

I didnt know about ANY of these LOL. When I go to wendy's I go straight to a four for four, sometimes with frosty's to dip my fries in.

I think a double burger is the perfect ratio for Wendy's. Their burgers usually have a lot of toppings on them, so one patty is underwhelming, and three patties is just overkill no matter what. My favorite sandwich ever was the Peppercorn Mushroom Melt.

Spicy chicken like ten years ago was sooo good! I remember eating everyday during my first pregnancy lol with a side of nuggets I would eat it like nothing too lol

So most American Wendy's offer hot sauce and shredded cheddar (as well as crackers) as options when ordering chili. It's kept mild so anyone can eat it. True Chili Con Carde from Texas (where invented) is usually very spicy.

I'm surprised they did not give them the Frosty I always eat my fries and frosty together it is absolutely amazing to me🤷‍♀️

MS, USA Where I live we definitely have the containers for ketchup as well

if you get the spicy chicken sandwich combo deal on the app you get one for a dollar and they let you put extra pickles tomato lettuce and ranch and mustard etc for free

Is no one else old enough to remember Wendy’s in the UK before? Never tried the triple but the double was a regular staple of my youth back in the 90s.

FYI we do have the Baconator, Frosty & Spicy Nuggets here in the UK.

Fun fact: Wendy's chili meat is their actual hamburgers. They cook them on the grill and cut them up to add into the chili. At least that's how they do it here in America.

i might be wrong but due to allergies to seasonings fast foods places can only season their food to a minimum but they might not know that that’s why they said something about the flavor

Good on BuzzFeed for driving home the point about using a "short a" Ranch (vs. raunch... yikes!) Also, thank you for sharing the chili with them, even if not a fave. So many of these videos miss the chili! Suggestion for next time to make it spicier for your "guinea pigs" - Wendy's hot chili sauce - gives it more flavor and heat! Also, so glad they loved the spicy chicken - that was always my favorite! (second pro tip - the chili sauce goes on that one too!)

We call it chili here and you pick up extra Wendy's chili sauce makes it even better.
