@@quentinkaasa47 A few, for different reasons. Just about any Van Halen concert. Motley Crue knew how to put on a good show, too. Early Ratt played good concerts, less so later on...though it was at a Ratt concert where I first hear Poison who opened for them, and they kicked ass all over Ratt with half the stage size! While not metal, David Lee Roth's solo concerts were entertaining as hell.

I miss this crazy ass music. It's good for the soul.

The casting director did a superb job.

I got quite impressed by the same, and thought it was an edition trick (like a green screen, chroma, etc.) but it turns out it's much simpler, cheaper and quite old, yet still mind blowing and very clever. There's a rough "making of" video here in KZread uploaded by the band's manager where you can see the same trick being pulled and recorded by a handheld camera, so it's not an edition trick. In one comment, a viewer asked about it and the manager said they used a scrim (yes, it's spelled like that), which is an openly woven fabric screen which appears opaque when stuff behind the screen is unlit, and conversely looks transparent when stuff behind the screen is lighted. It's similar to the two sided mirrors and even to normal curtains, like when you can see outside your home through curtains whithout being seen when lights are off.

I photographed Britny Fox in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia as they were touring back in the late-80's. I was a young new photographer who was lucky to have been given the chance to shoot for several record labels...Britny Fox was the second-band I spent time shooting tour-promo with...Billy Childs taught me how to 'party like a rock star'...we stayed in touch throughout the years and to this day I consider it a privilege to still have him as a friend...he's incredibly intelligent and kind.

Another reason why the 80's was special. I was in 9th grade when this came out. I bought the cassette after seeing the Long way To Love video debut on Headbangers Ball but this song became my favorite once I got home and hit play. Man those were awesome times!

Haha. I don't miss having to buy the whole cassette only to learn that there was only one good song on it. As much as I believe the 80's was the best decade for music, they produced a lot of crap too. You'd think the internet would have caused bands to have to Up Their Game, since now we don't have to buy the whole album if it sucks. It seems to have had the exact opposite effect though.

I found so many great bands from Headbangers Ball...Gorky Park, Cold Sweat, Company of Wolves, Saigon Kick, Shotgun Messiah, Electric Angels, Babylon AD...so so many.

I was 18 when this one came out. Now I'm 50 . Time flies ! It was like yesterday. Hair Metal(We didnt call this movement in late 1980s hair metal) is forever.

@Ziggy Stardust - For sure, Britny Fox fizzled out. Infighting, accidents, and other pitfalls led to them shuffling their lineup around and ditching their frontman, Dizzy Dean Davidson. But yeah, they still made a 2nd & perhaps even a 3rd album with the new frontman, so they hung around for awhile. Just because Poison had a bigger following doesn't mean they were a better band - & certainly not a better live band. The original poster here said he saw Britny Fox blow Poison off the stage. I believe him, but I'm not terribly impressed because I didn't personally think either band was anything special live.

This was in heavy rotation on the original MTV... when it was music videos. You know, the good ol' days with Beavis and Butthead.

Lucky to have been born in 71 to enjoy the great dance music..80s for breakdancing..MJ Prince Madonna etc..and Then we get gems like this and other rock/metal/classic rock etc..YEP..there is a reason our generation is the most loved and celebrated..

I was 15 when this came out. God how I wanted to know where that school was located.

Let's bring back the era of politically incorrect music. Who's with me?

This band is from a neighborhood near where I grew up and I believe that they made this song for my High School, Hallahan! It came out when I was in High School! I still love this song in 2020! 🤟🤘✌️❤️🙋‍♀️

as an 18 year old, i cant say i remember bands like this, because i wasn't alive :( but i am always gonna be a glam metal fan, it was the best, and it all seemed like a great time, i wish music dint go the way it did, rubbish now, but this music will never die

Awesome, I was just listening to this cassette a couple days ago and decided to look up the video. I love this music, its funny that kids in the 80's rocked harder then kids of the last decade, everything on rock radio these days is so soft and weak.

My friend Kevin bought me this tape when we were kids. It was a Bday gift and we both were little metal-heads. Maybe 6th grade. 😂 Loved it then. Love it now. Good times!

We saw them in 1988 or 89 at a small bar in Wilkes Barre. It was an all ages show. Before it started you'd see young kids tugging on their grandparents' arms to get closer to the stage. Once it started the grandparents were dragging the kids away from the speakers. 😂

They were pretty damn good live! I saw them back in 89 with Lita Ford and Dokken! Lita was so fine, she played "There's only one way to rock" by Sammy Hagar and man she was fucking amazing! I love her and Doro! Imagine. . . . . . ;)

A very underrated rock group they were damn good I miss the 80s I'm a rocker through and through

I’m 54 years old now and this album was first released when I was 18. I got a laugh from this video when the teacher cuts the wire from the orange foam covered headsets that are connected to the Walkman cassette tape player. Yes..you have to be old like me to have used that exact orange foam head set and cassette tape player. And if you want to hear something else interesting from this era watch the video “Cinderella- Somebody Save Me” or “Shake Me” from the 80s and see how similar the bands were back then.

Cinderella only really resembled this band and vice versa, they didn't really look like poison, skid row, white lion etc, besides long hair. Thats because many of the members of this band were in the original Cinderella line-up but were let go by the record label when Cinderella was signed

I miss those days....so many bands, we loved getting dressed up and going out. I think I single handedly destroyed part of the ozone with Aqua Net.

I like that the teacher is only eventually won over by the guitar solo. She must shred in her spare time
