'Schedule' is a good word that British, and Americans say differently. British use an 'SH' sound that originated from French influence while Americans use the 'SK' sound that is in keeping with the word's original language, Greek.

I noticed that the "r" sound is more present in British than American pronunciation. It's amazing to notice how different the same language can be, depending on what country you come from. Thanks, Lucy and Marina.

What an amazing lesson🤩. Two of my favorite teachers in one place. I'm over the moon. Since I started learning English, I've been inclining more toward the American accent, even though we generally use British English in my country, because I want to go to the U.S. At some point, I began to think I'd been pronouncing some words the wrong way. Now I realize that I was just pronouncing them the British way😄. Thank you so much for this enlightenment. Looking forward to more of these wonderful lessons.

Lucy, I think that was a bad decision to make a course with Marina. I know it is for you to decide what to do but she has been criticized for her mistakes and this video is no exception

American English is rhotic, that’s why r is pronounced. And the sound you hear when Americans pronounce ‘water’ for instance, is called flap. Much as I enjoy and value Lucy’s videos and recommend them and you can see and hear Lucy knows how to teach, Marina’s videos are skipping grammar rules and she ignores so many of them. She cannot explain rules and makes up her own to prove what she wants to convey. There are other channels (like Lucy’s, for instance) to learn English. To be honest, I don’t understand phenomenon of Marina’s video, as she’s so ignorant about rules, teaching skills etc.

Dear Lucy, Your videos are totally great, except this one, no offense. Marina has lots of mistakes which are unforgivable due to the fact that she’s teaching others 😮 „You are learning me“?!?! Wtf

It’s so weird to hear a person claiming to be an English teacher saying “you learned me that”. That’s not English!

Yes, Marina does a slight tongue touch to her front teeth, when she speaks, that just slightly gives a hint to her homeland, which is not America.
