Depends where, Italy is a long strip that extend from north to south, in the north, like Lonbardy, or Veneto, the temperature and weather is just the same as Switzerland or Austria, and it's often rainy or foggy. Milan and the Po valley are notorious for the fog.

I'm Canadian so no bias here, but the British style is way more my taste. And the varied ways of wearing the suits is something people don't seem to talk about either, the three-piece worn in a casual way without a tie with the top button open is one of the best looks ever! Italian suits have always looked cheap to me nowhere near as well made as the British, it's a privilege to have a suit tailored by a Savile Row tailor, my dream one day!

Well, I’m Italian but I will try to be objective. Pretty much every man can look good in the English style because it’s very elegant and sophisticated. Whereas to look good in the Italian style you have to have style, you have to feel confident in order to pull it off. It’s part of our culture we like to stand out with bright colours. I’ve read the comments and they pretty much all say that English is for work and formal events and Italian is for informal ones; let me say that it’s not true at all, in Italy you can easily go to work wearing light blues, magenta, darker yellows and so on, we don’t judge. Not everyone can pull of the Italian style, you pretty much have to be born in a certain way, you have to be extremely confident so this is why I give it to the Italian style. I must say that I appreciate a lot the English style too because as I’ve said before it’s very elegant and you can’t make mistakes just follow the rules.

On the other end, currently the British style is so formal that makes you stand out in every single occasion that's not the one that particular suit was specifically made for, while with the Italian one you can sit comfortably, tieless and legs crossed, at a cafè, or walk by the sea, and instantly becoming appropriate for a justice court the moment you wear a tie. The Italian style of dressing born in the '50s and '60s, when men of every age and social conditions were expected to wear a suit every time they were not hard working. ( i.pinimg.com/originals/a1/3d/75/a13d755dc96f6ab00f4fac9d8e34819a.jpg ). The British suit is a military uniform adapted to civilian use. The Italian suit is a civilian uniform.

It’s obvious that every country has people that dress well and people that don’t! Dear I’m sorry to break it to you but Italy has the fashion capital! Do I have to name brands? I think you already know. Despite your annoying response I would like to say that I love Great Britain and its culture, I’ve been there a bunch of times, why does it have to be a race? James bond most used brands have always been Italian: Brioni, Brunello Cucinelli, Gucci, Prada and Salvatore Ferragamo are some of the Italian brands used by the James bond movies (and make up for the majority). The past 2 movies used Tom ford, who was the designer of Gucci before making his own brand. Ford became famous at Gucci, and as stated by him, his style came from the time in Italy. So... you just admited that Italian style is better? I personally think both style have a time and place, and very much depend on the person.

As an Italian, I have to say that many aspects of this narration according to which Italy is a tropical country where the sun always shines are very boring and unreal. Yeah, Italy is not a very cold country but it's not so hot either. Italy is a very long country with several climatic differences from north to south and 35% of its territory is montainous. Just think that where I live (Sondrio, Northern Italy) the average winter temperature is 0 degree Celsius, it snows a lot in winter and the temperature drops under the -5°C during the night. Yes it's true, it doesn't get super cold in Southern Italy but the winter-time is NOT hot... I know that summer is VERY hot, but there are not only four months of the year 😂 I honestly don't know why everyone thinks that Italy is a hot country 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Let me know 👇🏻

Great video. Antonio, as a Spaniard that has grown up half in Naples, and half in London I can say, not only that you are absolutely right about the peacock thing, it's that they are different suits for different cultures and climates. My favourite? Simple: British for the winter months, and Italian for the warmer climate. British for work, Italian for drinks. Think about it. It is as off putting to find someone in a work environment dressed as a "peacok", as it is boring to be armoured in a sharp British suit while having fun. Take the best of both worlds, because we can!

In terms of single-breasted jackets, the Italians have way more versatility. They have their more elegant cuts and the more casual cuts, truly made to flatter different stylistic options in the coat. They are also able to match the more reserved drape from the English. That said, the English double-breasted is untouchable.

That said, I do speak Italian, and THANK YOU for not butchering the Italian words! Most people stumble over the “gli”, but you nailed it ;). Mi piace sempre guardare i tuoi contenuti!

I gotta say that both work for me and it only depends on the season of the year, the weather, the OCCASION (Which I find as a very important aspect) and of course my mood at the moment!!!... But also, what I think is the best to do (Just my particular opinion) is mixing them and find a perfect balance!!! ;) LOVE what you're wearing in this video btw! :)

As a start, Antonio I really love your work making menswear understandable for so many and all your effort and enthusiasm that comes with that. I agree on most of the points and of course there are some personal opinions where one could think different. But Milan, the financial business center of Italy. Bright colours? it’s even more boring than London (the city), only charcoal greys and deep dark blue with black shoes. Hardcore banking going on there, For bright colours you’ll have to go even further south than Rome, Naples is your go to for peacocks. I really love the way you do these videos, keep up the good work! Maybe it’s a fun idea to do a video about the best cloth manufacturers in your opinion, would be fun to watch! Greetings from a Dutch tailor.

I do a mix... With three Scottish bloodlines in my family, wool (especially tweed and tartans) are my wardrobe basic... BUT I also mix in colors from Italian silks (shirts, ties, cravats and scarfs) and occasionally linen... Also, a mix in my shoe choices... You can find Oxfords, Chelsea boots as well as the Mediterranean style loafers and boat shoes... Top it off with a nice watch (wrist or pocket.. depending if I'm wearing a vest or not) and a proper chapeau (Tamm, Trilby, Irish walking and the newsboy styles are my favorites)... ALWAYS looks sharp and gets looks & compliments

Something like this can not be graded. It comes down to the personality of the man and the idea of how he sees himself. I'm pursuing a doctorate and when I am giving a presentation in front of my peers, a British suit fits ( no pun intended). I am the one speaking, not the clothing. And, my peers are hanging off my words, again not the clothing. In my case, the suit 'should' be both tasteful, ordered and reserved. Antonio is right about the British suit.

Hi Antonio! very interesting and informative video mate! Hmm, It's unsure because everyone has a different taste, but I think the British because it's more formal, better quality, more professional looking and more mature. The Italian on the other hand like Antonio says, it's more colorful and youthful. Other men like the American style suit, myself I prefer the British and most people say Italian... They both WIN :)

I'm a proud Brit, so I'm a bit biased, but for me, British suits and British fashion act are a bit like picture frames- they can be works of art in their own right, but they serve to make the accentuate the painting. The man, his manners and his personality are the painting. I love Italian suits- they're often stunningly made, but sometimes, when looking at them with those very British glasses, it looks like they're trying to make up for something 😉

I am not offended or anything, I thought the comment was pretty funny, but... as far as average penis length goes, you have one of the smallest in Europe (Ireland has the smallest), we have the second biggest. Now... I saw this in one of those maps supposed to change how you see the world videos (5m wasted), but the map also showed that the French were the biggest, so I am ok with calling that map "nullified". Seriously tough, an average of 14cm is nothing to be proud of...
